Iverson's giving up. He's finding excuses to not play anymore, because he's realized that even a team that sucks ass wont give him minutes. Reminds me of T-Mac when he opted for surgery without telling anyone lol. You really think Iverson has personal problems, considering the kinds of words that he's been saying, the controversy he's bringing to the Grizzlies organization, and the frustration he's shown because of his low minutes?

i still think he can be a solid player off the bench. he should look at manu ginobili, barbosa, and even odom (what he did last year).

“I definitely can see myself walking away from basketball, walking away from [the media],” Iverson said.

During the interview, Iverson described his free-agent experience over the summer as “horrible.” He also complained that many people had begun to doubt he could still play at a high level.

“There’s more [people] that would rather see me fail than succeed,” Iverson said. “You think I don’t know that people left me for dead?”

Haha, smh. He's done. I don't see him coming back and being a great player like he once was. Sad, but true.

It’s been more than four months since Kobe Bryant announced his intentions to sign a contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers and pass up a chance to join the 2010 free-agent market. So why hasn’t he signed anything?

Sources with knowledge of the talks say the Lakers continue to meet with Bryant’s camp and that both sides fully expect the deal to get done, though neither wants to commit to a firm timetable. The initial hope was that the extension would be completed by the start of the season.

Bryant is scheduled to make $23 million this season and $24.8 million next season. He can opt of the final season to become a free agent in July. He is eligible to sign a three-year extension that could pay him more than $90 million, depending on the league’s salary-cap figures.

i know, the day i found out we traded him for iverson i was gutted about it. even though AI is good, billups was our main man.

dont want rip to leave, he is my fav player, tayshaun is up there and so is billups. theyre probably my three favorites. billups left a while back.

btw, is anyone expecting Phoenix to have an impact this year?! wtf? I don't even think i chose them to be on my top 8 teams. They are in first place at 6-1 right now ahead of the Lakers wtf? They stomped on the Wizards today, and they beat Boston the other night. Smh.

I agree Kobe, the game should have been a lot closer. At least that's what i expected before the game started. My homie turned on the TV and he said Lakers up by 10, i'm like wtf word?

i chose conley. hes too inconsistent when it comes scoring/assists.

That's what he says, but the Rockets say differently:

Tracy McGrady(notes) is saying he'll be back in a game on Nov. 18, but the Houston Rockets are saying they have no idea when T-Mac will be back on the attack, according to the Houston Chronicle.

So who's telling the truth? Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said Monday that no timetable exists for T-Mac to play. He'll get a run-through at the next Rockets' full practice, which is Nov. 23.

But the 30-year-old McGrady told Adrian Wojnarowski and Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports via email that he was returning Nov. 18. He then wrote on his blog: "I have been practicing, training, and rehabbing hard for my return to the court. I'm in a good place mentally and my body feels ready to get back out there, so now I am just waiting on my doctors to give me the clearance to go ahead to play. I'm going full speed at practice and am not being held out of drills anymore. I'm hoping to get out there as soon as possible, and with everything that my doctors have been telling me, it sounds like that will be sooner rather than later."

He's probably lost a step or two, or three, or four.

It isn't clear what Allen Iverson(notes) is going to do next so the Memphis Grizzlies are apparently making plans without him, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

It's not like the team isn't used to being without him. He wasn't practicing with the team for a long stretch due to a preseason hamstring injury. The 1-6 Grizzlies face the Portland Trail Blazers at home tonight and Iverson is not expected to be in the house.

He's been missing since last Saturday when he left the team for a supposed family matter after only playing three games for the team. And general manager Chris Wallace hasn't apparently spoken to Iverson since last weekend. It's not looking good for a quick return if there is a return at all.

"Iverson is a big part of this team and we're behind him, but we have to keep on pushing," forward Zach Randolph(notes) said. "I hope the fans continue to support us. We're working hard every day. We're really trying to pull this thing together." "

The likeliest scenario appears to be that Iverson will retire.

I downloaded this app for my iphone. NBA league pass, where i can watch games for free on my phone. Only bad thing is that i can't watch local games (i.e. Lakers, Clippers) cause they're blacked out. Oh well, free league pass for any other games. How tight is that?
