That blaze track reminds me, I want to know what Pitts thinks of darq e freaker and the rest of the rather large UK grime movement.

Haven't listened to it. Most UK hip-hop (grime) is poor. The vocab is limited, they didn't pay attention in school and don't understand what a metaphor is. At least, the last time I listened. I can handle the SE London accent, but after a while that is taxing also.

Funk, no one cares that you bought into a white boy fad when you were a teen and started listening to rap music then grew up and moved on from it.

How is the movement so to speak, are kids really buying into it and acting the part. I'm just curious because I see some weird youtube vids of grime artists and there fans seem to be doing the same weird shit.

i wanna know what this "trap" genre is about. how can you call it trap when it has nothing to do with the trap? effin white people.
I don't really know why it's called trap either. I'm more familiar with the "grime" name, and they're basically the same sound. I consider it a UK thing, so when they bring it over here they call it trap for whatever reason

I have to be honest, I am pretty detached from it all these days. I live in an affluent area and have no interaction with any kids apart from my own. I do see more kids influenced by American fashion these days. Which is a fucking atrocity. Because American dress sense is awful. Although with the Kanye Wests and Kid Cudis becoming more influential and moving away from baggy clothes, it's getting better.

Inner City youths in London have always been morons. I imagine that is what you are seeing. They imitate LA gangs and do a lot of dumb things. Then they get jobs as road sweepers or in McDonalds. Or end up dead.

RIM is now BlackBerry. Is that gonna change anything? All my Canadian friends from school seem extremely optimistic, but I think every blog out there is just smirking at RIM trying to avoid the inevitable.

Bbm looks pretty good. I can see it taking some market share from iOS not so much android. Well maybe android. There are a very large portion of android customers who just have it cus some phones are cheap, bb can probably take some of them

Personally I don't understand BBM's phenomena. It's like what's app or Skype, but closed and limited and only exists because it has an estblished user base that stayed with it because of brand loyalty or because they're so used to it.

I also don't feel like their new flagship will be competitive. Maybe in some niche markets. I wish RIM all the best but their products are really weak now. And way too expensive at the same time.

Now RIM becoming Blackberry is a bad business decision. They could try different markets - now everyone will associate the whole company with a sinking ship - Blackberry as a brand is dying because of poor products and it's inevitable now. They went from 17% market share to 6% over the last year alone. The transition to touchscreens alone killed them - they didn't see it coming, they didn't apply necessary actions and thought that their old ways will still work. Now they release a half-assed touch screen system that is ages behind others. A clasical example of a company not reacting to an extreme change on their own market.

I still wish them all the best mainly because it's the only huge Canadian tech company that matters outside of Canada.

I think that's why my Canadian friends are rooting so hard for it. Exaggerating each word spoken by them as if it were the gospel and that everything was going to be alright. There are plenty of American companies out there that I could not give less of a shit about if they went down. What's up with Canadians and BB, then?

Even on the island, we have about 70% coming from Canada and they all were rocking unlocked BlackBerries because BBM was the only way to stay in touch on the go while on the island. Within a year, however, others still had their BBs, but had settled for Whatsapp, for some reason. That's how they keep in touch with family in Canada, friends still on the island still in school, all while prepping for an exam here in the states.

That's what I use too. Whatsapp is so much easier to use.

Eh.... now they're questioning the trade for Rudy Gay. They're all mostly Toronto guys, so shit like is big since they just have the Leafs and Raptors, And the BJs are relevant again with those trades, so I guess they've got something to be happy about, sports-wise.

I am kicking their asses in fantasy hockey, though, despite not knowing fuck all about hockey. It's making me learn, though.

I did not. Martin St Louis was drafted and he's been hot. I picked up Tarasenko and Vrbata during Week 1 and they're taken off as well. They have 35,27, 26 points respectively, compared to Alfredsson's 19.

Rinne has been my bust so far. I snagged Corey Crawford and and Craig Anderson, and they have been on fire too. Rinne has shit support and despite him being a good goalie, he's gonna get fucked by his team's poor play.

Here's a screencap

LW has been my weakest position and it doesn't seem there's much better on waivers either. But I own last week, scoring the third most points and I'm leading again this week, so I'm not too worried. Once Anze comes around, the team should be running on all cylinders.
