Film & TV Kramer's racist Tirade caught on tape

Oh yeah I loved kramer as a chracter but I lost all respect for the actor. There are ways to handle heckler's and he choose the wrong way. Simple as that.

why is it that fat joe can say "nigger" without having to explain himself?

It's not about the word, it's about the usuage.

If a White kid is like "These niggaz is mad ill" talking about rappers on stage who happen to be Black. And he says the word naturally, just like he's saying "the" or "and" then no one would really care. If someone says it in a deragatory(sp?) manner, that's when it becomes an issue. Mentioning the word nigger, slavery, 40 years ago, and hanging all in the same sentence......yeah, not the same as Fat Joe saying "what up nigga?"

I mean, you have to see the difference here.

Honey, you lost trying to explain this to some of these white folk. Some understand the difference, while others never will.

But as a grown black man, i've even stopped using the word completely. Because it gives people this exact same excuse to use.

Are you ignorant? What gives him the right to say that all white people should be exterminated?

He got shot in the head. I feel bad for him. But should he use that and say that all white people should be exterminated? Did I shoot him in the head? Why should I be exterminated?

The title and the commenters do say it all, you're right. This guy is a nutcase, along with being a piece of shit. If you agree with him, then you are also a nutcase and piece of shit. How are you even going to try to defend him?
Nope, I'm not ignorant.
You seem a little angry. I see no reason for you to be.
I think its just a misunderstanding. Lemme clear it up.

Where did I say that he has the right to say white people should be exterminated. You didn't shoot him in the head. You shouldn't be exterminated.

I know I'm right. The title and commenters DO say it RIGHT. The title says "crazy black man...", I was pointing out the crazy black man part. Commenters were talking shit about him and saying he was crazy and etc. I agree with that.

We're both on the same page. I also thought this guy was a piece of shit. And I dont defend him. You're getting mad at me for the wrong reasons man. Re-read what I said in the original post.

RFPT, I don't know if he died or not. I just said that because of the irony in it. I said he went to a book signing in "Montana". Alot of whites live there. He went there and got shot--implying, he got what he deserved.

I thought you had something intelligent to say. You're just another guy using the "double standard" as the argument. Your assumption is wrong, by the way. On top of that, you made yourself look sexist. Good job.

On a sidenote, reality is socially-constructed.
Oh did the gender statement hit home? Hahaha, thought so. What do you find intelligent? Oh that's right something that goes on the side of what your perspective is. Look it's okay to be wrong sometimes, but being a sore loser and trying to defend something on a message board isn't going to award you with the throne of perfection, so please don't type nonsense towards my posts.

... Im in no way support of any sort of racism... But i think at a point he was just trying to be funny, and he did push it... But you know what, comedians say some pretty offensive shit.. I mean i've heard some shit, that if i was white i'd be pretty pissed. I've even heard a Comedian, say that "we should kill all these fuckin muslims" and didnt stop there, kept going on and on about it, but instead of ppl getting up and leaving the crowd was cheering "USA! USA!" .. but at the end of the day I know ignorant fucks exist on this planet, and racism is widely accepted when its in the right context.

So people need to get over this shit, he's just a man, and he made some comments he shouldnt have. People make mistakes everyday, so instead of pointing at this one individuals mistakes. People need to seriously look at our society and figure out what makes people act this way, and what makes it accptable sometimes, and other times completely wrong. Until we change the biases still found in our history books, and the irony of having a "Black Entertainment Telivision"... but if there was a "white entertainment channel" all us minorities would get up and mob and march... we cant be complaining about the polluted products of our society.. white, black, yellow, or brown.

Now that I watched from the "50 years ago" part, I dont know why any of you chose to justify this. Its not even the double standard of the "n" word, its the fact that any joke or comment making light of lynching is not funny, and yes its offensive. I find it almost as offensive that half the audience laughed until he started saying n****r three times then it was all of a sudden "Oh my God".. The shit wasnt funny from the start. Did you catch the part where he said "thats what you get for interupting the white man"? C'mon!

I dont remember seeing anyone use the "free-speech" as a justification, I was directing that comment to those using the "double standard" approach. Either way in my free opinion what he said was racist and ugly and sometimes speech shouldnt be so free to people like that. Theres a reason why so many people walked out and why he walked off and the host appologised. Theres no use trying to be the voice of reason in this.

i see the difference, but-
if eminem said it in his songs, it would not be acceptable by african americans. even if he used it like all the other words.

they interviewed a comic at the laugh factory, who was black, and he said that if you say the word, and you're not african american, you have some explaining to do. he obviously meant any time, not just when you use it like richards did.

some people say fat joe is 'allowed' to say it because he is not white. they say that latinos and blacks are alike, but i say that the jump from latino to black is bigger than that from latino to white, so that shouldnt mean anything. some say that they, too, have been to africa in their history. if you believe evolution, we've all been there haven't we?

i really dont even know where im going with this post, so i will stop here before making a fool of myself (perhaps i have already  ).

I see it that in the history of America Latino's wernt oppressive towards Black people like White people were so theres the major difference as I see it.

maybe we didnt see the same person? i was watching news and the footage was at night, outside the 'factory'. the only part i remember exactly was "got some explaining to do". with the rest i might have changed a word or two, since i cant remember the start. im sure that his right side was facing the camera.
it was on channel 10 here in aus (late news on tuesday), but the footage was from cnn or something, since nobody from any station flew over to get exclusive footage- it was like a 1min bit.
the only interview i can find on youtube is with some guy answering questions for like 10 minutes.
and again, the guy i originally saw was black.

one day the word will mean nothing. it is only surrounded by all this bullshit because everybody is giving power to it.

1. People left because they were uncomfortable, that's their fault. Oh well, it's not like he came out with a noose and pillowcase on his head.

2. He apologized because, that's media for you. Everyone apologizes because of something they did that the mass audience disproves of.

Well, certain people are extra sensitive. I mean, you can't speak for them. But generally speaking, if someone is cool as hell and real. And they mean nothing by it, no one cares. Paul Wall says nigga all the time and no one cares. Eminem isn't real. He's fake as hell, and people see right through his fake ass, hence the reason why he's not really accepted in the Black community and he can't say the word no more than Justin Timberlake could say it.

And, no, Latinos and Blacks aren't a like per say, but the cultures are VERY similar. Not to the specifics like food and such, but on a broader scale. Most Latino or Black nations all share a similar heritage of being "discovered", conquered, their lands and women raped, their culture stolen, and then comes the oppression. Other than Jewish people, I can't think of any group of White people with a similar story to tell. And Jewish people aren't even considered White really, they're a minority as well. Does that make sense at all? Maybe that's what people mean, but again, i'm just speculating.

The whole of balkan? Enslaved by turks for 500 years, doesn't that count?

And there are more to it then you seem to know.

Just wanted to state this, anyway it's not really important and has nothing to do with the topic per se.

EDIT: Are you sure Paul Wall says nigga? Personally I've never heard him say it, but then again I barely listen to him except for that song girl.

Sorry, I didn't know that. I don't know every country's history. I also stated that I don't know about all of them. But, I was thinking a little more from an American standpoint. Not really internationally.
