Oh im so sorry cannibal, im sorry i didnt acknlowledge how "molestation and rape", have more significance than the persecution and goddamn lynching of black men in this country. You my friend live in an ice box.
Did he do it? Did he get the black man and lynch him on stage? Was he even 1% serious about his words? NO, he's a performer a "entertainer". Secondly murder has always been brutal, take away race/skin colour it's always been their. Why worry about the motivation? It's obviously dwelling on it for this long hasn't stopped the murder rate to drop. All I'm saying is if you REALLY have a problem with it, go protest, go get a petition, and just do something, not just sit their and babble on how wrong this man is for using his "freedom of speech" usuage.

But once again, oh well.

the "if it was 50 yrs ago" part wasnt that bad to me, the name calling was. but lets be honest. had it been chris rock saying "ill hang your white ass like the kkk, you cracker, honkey, peckerwood", he wouldve gotten away with it. not even a peep from the media.
African American people think the history of white people torturing them justifies their racial slurs nowadays, talk about contradiction. And yeah I can't even count how many times Chris has used the word "honkey, cracker" among others(other comedians too).

Yeah i just saw this on the news earlier tonight, thats too bad i used to always watch Seinfield with my dad and Kramer was so funny and my favorite on the show...

He lost a lot of respect in my book, but at least he's apologizing... but damn he must've of been on some drugs...

Jerry Seinfield was saying he's absolutely sicken to hear this.

What else would Jerry say? He's getting millions from people, if he stated how he felt on everything honestly, he wouldn't.

i just the clip... funny shyt.... he should have said "it" with an "A" at the end(those the dudes hanging at the clubs with gold chains) not the "ER"(those the ones hannging off the ropes)...

btw, in my honest opinion... i liked the tv show seinfeld... thought kramer was hilarious... but in real life, i think michael richards would probably be a dick... while jason alexander and elaine would probably be a lot more friendly...

i thought his apology tonight on Letterman was from the heart. he knows he screwed up. he lost his cool an went off.

all of us on this board has said somethin to someone in their lifetime or has made comments that we wish we could take back. Kramer just came out an made a very poor choice of words. it makes me think about a while back when Benzino came out with those tapes on Eminem.

in the end.. "Only God will be able to judge him" for what he'd done. Not you or me, Not the African American Community.

He's an asshole, I remember when he was in Australia for a promotional tour for the Seinfeld dvd's every interview he did he was a jackass.. Kill his career already Seinfeld/Kramer is over.

Where's the backlash for this guy.

Do your reseach on that guy. He was shot in the head during a book signing in Montana last year.

And the title of that clip says it all, along with all the commenters on that page. ;)

Flip i respect you and all, but your wrong on this one. One person is a celebrity, the other is not. You cant make this comparison.

And to all of you who believe this apology was "real, and from the heart"... PLEASE. This only went down because seinfeld season 7 ships out tommorow, and they didnt want to hurt the sales. But newsflash; your a little late on that one.
Also he's tring to deflect the attention by talking about New Orleans, and hurrican Katrina. Get the fuck outta here, all you falling for this shit are straight up suckas.

u know... i dont think its that he said the "n" its about how he used it... i mean a lot of people thought the blind racist supremisist on chappelles show is hilarious...of course, thats in character and played as one long joke... michael richards was callin dude out, basically because he heckled him on stage... both of em were wrong...but michael richards had a whole lot more to lose...

and like artistic girl mentioned... he does seem like a prick off camera...like in deleted scenes and behind the scenes footage of seinfeld, he just seemed way different than the kramer character... i remember the dude straight up slammed 'elaine' cuz she messed up her lines

He didn't do anything wrong.
What do you base this statement on? I won't try to make an assumption since you tried to contrast racial-name calling with world issues. I'm doing you a favor.

I base it on reality? And not some superficial one where we care about a word due to the skin and the past history. It's okay for Dave Chapelle to say it, black people laugh at it all the time, BUY dvds. Once a white guy uses it, it's like OH HES THE DEVIL. But he got what he wanted, publicity, since he was on to zero and now he has people among you guys using his name to insult/trash at, and people usually don't yell at Kramer(sp?). Lol @ favour ahaha, your ego dosen't bother me. I'm assuming you're a woman and you think you're smart and all witty, it's all lemmings to me.

I don't understand some people here. WHY must you compare Michael Richards outbursts to 2pacs or that crazy proffesor? Does it make it more right then? The only thing in common is that they (the black professor and kramer) was both WRONG. Kramers was heavily unjustified though I can understand the black mans hate for white people. Am not saying what he said was ok just that his hate towards white people is more understandable then vice versa.

And Kramer is a stupid feck, don't do shit then try to apologise. You're a man, you should know that you don't act first and think later. This is some kindergarden stuff. He must be retarded or possibly never learned that.

all this shows is the double standards in this country. i am not defending his actions but this doesnt mean he is a racist. it also doesnt mean chris rock is a racist when he does his gigs and calls white people crackers. he said it because he was angry. does that mean he said that because he is a racist or that because he had some built up anger that day and it all came out when he got pissed off because he was heckled, we dont know. we can assume we know but we dont.

maybe this incident will finally wake people up to the double standards. its ok for blacks to say the word but when a white person says it "oh no lets kill that racist cracker". there are guys in my class that say that word all the time. they are white as i am. one migh be a p.r. but is as white as his xxxxl tees. it pisses me off when they say it and i want to smack the shit out of them but at the same time it pisses me off when i hear a black person say it too. people should just not say the word. not rappers, artists, comedians, blacks, whites, anyone. this "it is ok in the right context, if it is on a cd by a rapper from the ghetto, but not ok in another context" is bullshit.

*goes and bumps stricktly 4 my n.i.g.g.a.z

I honestly just reailzed something,I watched that whole apology and personally felt bad for him(cause he looked like a twelve year old being caught stealing) but thats beside the point. In that apology he said that he didn't want his comments cause any more tension between whites and blacks. Now I don't know the race of any of you guys(nor do I really care) but if some of who are argueing are white and black thats exactly what happened, then it's caused more racial tension in a world where that garbage is destroying man kind(especially in the states).

One of you stated that we've all said things we regret and that was not the whole point so I apoligize, but this is where im going,I have NEVER called a black man that word.I would never call anybody of another race something like that,it's fucking flat out ridiculous. The guy apologized, well what the fuck would you expect. If i called someone that I would expect to get my ass jumped and beat down. Of course I would apologize too if I said some stupid shit like that, but the point is I wouldn't no matter what he said to me.I can honestly say that.
