Well I've caught up on the games..

Lakers look good, I like how Blake and Barnes are fitting in. Shannon Brown has improved a bunch, loved the dunk against the Suns. Its only been 2 games but it's lookin good.

Griffin was a monster, hopefully he doesn't suffer on the Clippers.

Loved that Heat lost their first game, but it is only the first so it's not saying alot.

At first I thought the complaining rule would be alright, stop the excessive bitching.. But it's been taken waaaaaay too far. They are asking the players to be super human and control every little emotion in a game that they are passionate about. It's going to get reeeeeeal annoying. Why couldn't they have just had the rule for things that do get taken too far.

Also wtf? Rondo goes without headband after league institutes new rule | NBA.com

Seriously laughable.

^Why are you expecting the Iverson deal to go bad?
I don't know.

How can Kwame Brown can still play in the NBA while a far more accomplished talent like Iverson can't?
- I don't know.

Why did no players, coaches, general managers and owners mention during the off season that they would want Iverson on their team?
-I don't know.

Why even after that do players, coaches, general managers and owners mention that Iverson shouldn't be going to Turkey?
-I don't know.

Why do I still have eight posters of Allen Iverson in his 76ers era which are probably never coming down?
-I don't know.

fuck the lakers and their easy upcoming 30-game schedule.
If the Lakers go 30-0 then its easy, not to mention that every team in the NBA wants to beat the Lakers.

I liked Shanwow's dunk vs the Suns as well.

Griffin and Clippers fans look all set for a good season.

We're all going to be complaining about officiating this season more than ever. I saw Barnes get a technical for handing the ball to the official 'the wrong way'.

Couldn't Rondo just have turned the headband the right way round? Does it mean that much to him to have it upside down?

How bout Shannons 3's against the Rockets? Also speaking of 3's LA seem to have been alot more consistent in the first 2 games. Odom's been awesome too.

Barnes T for handing the ball the 'wrong way' was such a wtf moment.

As for Rondo, I get it.. The not wearing it at all I mean. The headband is free advertising for the NBA whether its the wrong way or not and they wanna put in a stupid rule like that. If anything it makes people pay more attention to the NBA logo being upside down.

As to why he wanted to wear it upside down I don't know, but I have my theories.

with all these stupid rules implimented the league should be called nazi basketball association.

iverson should still be in the league but if hes not happy he makes sure everybody knows about it. im sure that turned off a lot of teams. he'd be a great sixth man for a playoff team

Back problems have moved former ESPN basketball analyst Bill Walton off TV in recent years. But the NBA Hall of Famer hasn't lost his heater.

While appearing with Michael Kay on ESPN Radio 1050 in New York Thursday, Walton was asked if Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony's playing style would be a good fit with Amar'e Stoudemire of the New York Knicks. It's a pertinent question for Knicks fans, because the buzz has been that New York is Carmelo's most likely destination.

No, said Walton. But then 1978 NBA MVP went further and said he believes Anthony is not one of the league's elite. Said Walton:

"Carmelo, to me, does not have what it takes to be the great player. He puts up nice numbers. Makes a great salary. Media and publicity and all like him. But does he win the games? Does he make the squad better? Does he pull guys together? It hasn't happened in Denver at all. I'm a big Amar'e Stoudemire fan. I will hold my tongue on Carmelo."
bill walton is ruthless lol

Iverson wasn't contacted by any team during the offseason because he's hard to play with. He's past his prime but not willing to make the necessary adjustments for that realization. He never had a hard work ethic. His idea of practice was "thinking" what moves to do, not necessarily try to practice them before games. He's my favorite NBA player ever so I read a couple biographies on him in high school. He's a hard fit for any team because he demands too much "on ball" handling that doesn't translate into points. If that makes sense. It's not that he doesn't have the talent to play in the NBA. He very much does. But that's not all it takes nowadays.

Why even after that do players, coaches, general managers and owners mention that Iverson shouldn't be going to Turkey?
-I don't know.
Going to play in Europe is not a huge downgrade from the NBA. BUT, if you go play for a really good club in a country like Spain, Greece, Serbia, or Russia. But in Turkey? That's a huge downgrade. That's my opinion, anyway.

because he was so spectacular to watch. :D

He doesn't want to say why he had it upside down. I'm thinking some sort of weird gesture aimed at "sticking it to the man".

That Wiz-Philly game was spectacular to watch. Fantastic performance by Wall. one steal, one STEAL, shy off a triple double at his first home game. SHIT. I remember I was this excited about Kevin Durant and then we got our team stolen. Crushed my hopes and dreams.

^Where amazing happens. | NBA.COM :D

I don't have cable so I watch all the games on atdhe.net
A) I'm lazy
B) It wasn't there when I checked, now it is but it was seriously like 20 seconds. Booo!
C) I got cable and they still don't show enough games, plus because I'm in Australia they decided to show both of the Bucks games.
