im hoping Odom can work out a deal and stay for less money and try to win a championship. Ariza yeah give him a nice new contract and pay him good.

i havent seen the FA list,, but you got Brown, Farmar and Vujacic. and if Fisher (just saying if) he retired. is Derek guaranteed another year or two??? keep em all or try and trade Sasha. keep Brown and Farmar let them back up Fisher.

i def dont see Powell, Mbenga coming back. i know Mbenga is a big man. does Kupchack make any small moves in the offseason or does he keep everybody together?

The Knicks could put together a package that would save the Rockets some money and include a veteran shooting guard with an expiring contract -- Larry Hughes ($13.6M) -- along with Cuttino Mobley's 80-percent insured $9.5M deal. Mobley could then officially retire with the team that drafted him (and originally knew about his heart condition). Call it full circle.

One trusted scout told me this week that he is convinced free agent-to-be Rasheed Wallace would be a better counter to Dwight for the Cavs than Shaq -- given his history of one-on-one defensive success against Howard and the fact that Sheed's perimeter-based offensive game would help keep the lane open for LeBron -- but it wouldn't surprise me if Ferry tries to get both.

Trade for Shaq and then sign Sheed? With so much at stake, Ferry might have to be that bold.

Wizards general manager Ernie Grunfeld isn't afraid to pull the trigger on a major deal on draft night.

There have been rumors that Washington could trade the fifth overall pick, and one deal that has been mentioned involves Phoenix big man Amare Stoudemire.

I couldn't agree more. I love Amare. His explosiveness is unreal, and I love how he wants to be a leader despite his young age. Great work ethic. It's unfortunate about his eye injuries, but with te goggles maybe it will help, even though it looks goofy. Besides Duncan and possibly Garnett, I can't think of many PF's that even compare...but I know there are some, just not feeling like racking my brain right now.
