on a sad note i imagine we wont see any more Nike puppet commercials w Kobe and Lebron. til next season. i do find those commercials quite funny.
My fav are the 'three rings' and the 'unstoppable' commercials, classic humor there. Were thos screened on TV or were they only internet viral ads?

GO MAGIC! That's awesome, it will be an intersting Finals.. :D

artisticgirl
to me

Art is something beautiful
like paintings that has been done by leonard, michelangelo, raphael and many more (all of them ninja turtles ahahah lol)
but Art such as picasso's works is just bla to me
because i was making that type of art when i was 12 years old
and circles and squares mannn i just cant understand it
leonardo was doing something special
michenlangelo was doing something special
but artist like picaso..... u cant put them in the same category as leonardo
(its like puting kid on the same level as lebron james or kobe)
many of modern artist r ending up being drug addicts and alcoholics
I went to Art museum and many people were looking at a huge painting - which was a basic straight line
I mean WTF
and then there was a square painting which sold for 3 mill.
this days Art is the only type of job where u dont really have to be good at it
I mean, to be a scientist u need to know a LOT
to be a basketball player u need to be the best ( to be in the nba-and get pay)
to be a computer programmer u need to know a lot about computers
To be a mathematician u need to know a lot about math
but to be an artist u dont realy have to do anything ( no, im not trying to offend u artisticgirl)
people be drawing circles and squares and get millions ...
and leonardo used flowers to make paint
Im not a huge fan of Picasso, but as I said I can appreciate it. Picasso (and many cubist artists) can actually draw realistically they just didn't want to. I find this kind of his work interesting:

It's all about the shapes and surface of the painting.

I myself am a fan of the Renaissance, I loved the symbolism. Leonardo was insane, fingers in every pie.

I don't have a specific style, I know what I like, going to spend the next 3 years developing that and trying to find out what kind of job I would like. I disagree artists don't need to know/do anything. You need to understand how colours react to each other, it's a creative job so there is no clear right and wrong (to the artist) if others like it too then they make money if not they are still enjoying what they do.

Anyway this is a NBA thread, if you want to continue the discussion IM me.

Jordan took a few goes to get a championship. I more than anyone would like to have an end to the debate but I'm sure if Lebron is patient and stays hungry he'll get the ring.

i think cuz of the media hype ppl hate on lebron. his stats are unreal and his been doin this since his rookie season. u cant compare kobes first 6 seasons with lebrons, lebron totally shits on him. lebrons teammates really let him down. this has nothin to do with a killer instinct cuz we saw him nail that 3pter, what more do u want? lebron needs a superstar around him, similar to a player like gasol, and they need a very athletic center or pf to gaurd howard becuz itll def magic vs cavs in the confrence finals again next season. lebrons not michael, lebron doesnt play like michael, he just has his number 23. kobe and mj play a similar style, that u can compare somewhat but kobe is kobe and mj will always be mj.

I still think the Lakers have it...
Nobody on the Magic can guard Kobe. Who will be stuck with the task though? Probably Lewis. Who the hell else would do it, Courtney Lee? Alston? Hedo can try but will fail miserably. They can't even come close.
But nobody on the Lakers can guard Howard. If Bynum can get his ass to playing better than a third grader...he is the only one with even comparable strength.
The Magic have a better bench but I consider the Lakers starting lineup to be superior...
Howard guards Pau, of course.
Odom and Lewis would be interesting but I don't think Lewis' defense is good enough for a player as versatile as Odom, but the same could be said for Odom's defense against Lewis. This will be a good matchup.
Ariza will probably be guarded by Courtney Lee and Ariza should have a field day on him. He is wayyy too good for Lee. And he will shut Lee down defensively, but Lee isn't much of an offensive threat, so that's not saying much.
Kobe and Hedo, of course Kobe will win this battle. Kobe won't have to exert near as much energy on defense as he did against Carmelo, so shouldn't get fatigued as quickly. Hedo is a good offensive player, don't get me wrong, but it won't be the beating and banging that Kobe had to endure trying to guard Melo in the post.
Fisher and Alston, should be fairly even, unless Alston gets hot. Then it's Magic's advantage. Alston's D isn't as good as Billups, though, so Fisher should have a better offensive series.

As far as the benches go, of course Orlando has the advantage. Not much help on the bench for LA. Some Farmar here, Shannon Brown there, Luke Walton fuckin' some shit up.

Let's hope the starting lineup comes out rested and ready to play for the Finals!
bynum has no heart, he doesnt care if his team wins unless his doin well. just look at his body language durin the games, he doesnt care at all. its a shame since he can be a great center in the league but hes got an attitude problem. i remember laker players werent aloud to critisize him because he was so sensative LOL lets see if bynum will steup to the challenge

Lol you've got yours mixed, too.
I can see Pietrus guarding him, but I was naming only starters. Rafer is four inches shorter than Kobe, that wouldn't work well. Kobe would get him in the post, fade and shoot. Just like he does every time a shorter player D's up. Or they will double in the post and he will kick it out.
Lee just isn't talented enough. Not fast enough, strong enough, and nowhere near smart enough to guard Kobe.
Pietrus, maybe in spurts.
i said maybe rafer since he got quikness.

lee is a solid defender, his done a very well job of defending SGs in the playoffs and in the season. lee is a talented individual and hes no where reached his potential. his bball IQ is great, thats why hes the starting SG on the team, ahead of a few vets.

Of course he is talented, that's why he's in the NBA. Scrubs don't make it in there.

Rafer would get murdered. I know Bynum has no heart, that's apparent.

Pau isn't a superstar...

Cavs and Magic next season? That depends if KG stays healthy.

im not a hopper
u r a hopper
and all ur lakers friends
if kobe leaves lakers all of u will leave with him
and i stay with my rockets without tmac ,without yao, without steve

i never been on lakers`s wagon
1 of the reasons is that 90% of lakers's fans r kobe dick riders
kobe is gone all lakers fans r also gone

to touch on this...

I immediately noticed that he didn't go over to congratulate the Magic and just went straight to the locker room. I also predicted he'd get a lot of shit for it in the media (don't know though, haven't watched TV since). BUT FUCK THAT. Sportsmanship or not, a man has the right to vent his frustration by not congratulating the other team. I know he regrets it later, but I'm willing to justify that in the moment of frustration.

also, that guy who mentioned the lebron vs. jordan debate.

LeBron shows hunger but not consistently and you can't expect him to take over EVERY game. You have to have teammates who step up.

^True, he also didn't speak to the media AT ALL. I think it's kinda stupid to just leave and not say a word to anyone, 'cause you've got to face your loss like a man. Then again, i would understand why he did that... shit i would have left asap too.

LMAO! Is it the players fault? Or is it that every woman in Colorado is a fucking slut looking for a basketball player to buy her a wardrobe? ahaha.

'cause you've got to face your loss like a man
like kobe did when he lost shaq
ahahaha
at 1st kobe was like I CAN DO THIS SHIT i dont need 2nd star
and after not making to the playoffs and next year losing to suns
kobe was like shittt im a try something new
im a star crying and ask for trade
let c what happens

la rganization: oo nooo kobeee plzz stay we will do anything
u want gasol? im a call stern to make it happen

He has every right not to congratulate the Magic instantly after the game (if he didnt do it, what i dont know). I mean, if you love what you are doing and putting so much work and everything into it, and then you lose, you are devastated.

Actually, fuck the people who congratulate the other team.

lol, wtf? Gasol was a STEAL! Grizzlies got something back didn't they? It's all good. Gasol is an elite player anyways... his game this year > his game last year.

kobe taught him well, i see a bright future for this kid in the nba
Yea dude, i hear he was going to leave the nba this year and go to the d-league or something. But what a great pickup for the Lakers. They are using shannon brown more than the other dude... i forgot his name.
