So:

Monta and Udoh to the Bucks.
Bogut to the Warriors.
Sam Young to the Sixers.
Barbosa to the Pacers.
Ramon Sessions to the Lakers.
Luke Walton to the Cavs.
Gerald Wallace to the Nets.
Stephen Jackson's Rewinding Career to the Spurs.
Richard Jefferson to the Warriors.
Marcus Camby to the Rockets.
Derek Fisher to the Rockets.
Nene to the Wizards.
Javale McGee to the Nuggets.
Nick Young to the Clippers.
Nate McMillan fired.
Dwight Howard's a flaky little girl.

Is that everything?

1) Now that they have sorted out the glaring issue of not having a PG, they're a better team. Dammit they needed a PG ever since CP3 was a Laker.
2) Fisher's trade has no basketball impact, but emotionally...damn, he hit some big shots for L.A.

But how do you ease him (Fisher) out of the lineup? How do you tell one of your leaders that his time as an on court performer is up and that he must recede to background while other, younger options take his minutes and his role? The fact is that for a first year coach (Mike Brown) and someone that doesn’t have nearly the clout in the locker room as the player he’d be demoting, there’s no good way to do this. At least not one that doesn’t risk a divided locker room with players potentially taking sides. The easiest thing to do, then, is to trade that player away and save yourself the difficult conversation and potential repercussions of demotion.

3) If the team can get their act together with all the new pieces (i.e not lose to teams like Washington), they just might make the conference semis and not a first round exit.
4) The multiple remaining games vs Spurs and Oklahoma City will be massive. I think they will give a very clear idea of how far the Lakers will go.
5) Thank goodness they still got Pau Gasol.
6) F!@#$%g hell they finally got rid of Luke Walton.

i love the fact that Fisher is gone. He might not be physically there but he was that one guy you didn't want to see in the game with the game on the line. If Kobe passed (rarely), I'd be scared that Fisher is shooting the shot. That .04 second shot in San Antonio still haunts me. It's kinda like when they lost Horry and I felt better.

He didn't get it off. No basket. To this day: no basket.

You were quite excited that D'Antoni's gone. I guess the fault with that article is one thing. It assumes Woodson is staying. He isn't. But yeah.

I don't know what it is, but all this Knicks fuckery really does not make me want success for them. Fuck 'em. I never liked Carmelo at all. I think that's really what it is. I had a poster of Amare (Suns Amare) on my wall back in the day.

Holy shit balls that's alot of changes..

As hard on the heart it is to see Fisher go it really was too obvious the PG issue with the Lakers was a problem, and I can't believe Walton is finally gone.. will miss him and the 3 minutes a year we got to see him haha..

Bogut to Warriors hmmm

So is Dwight still with Magic? I'm assuming so...

D-Fish is to sign with the Thunder.

Walton was such a dead weight. How did he stick on the team for so long? Why would any other NBA team want him in the 1st place?

Who cares? They got rid of him :D

In a rut of play in their past games, the Lakers play the Mavs tonight

If the Lakers win I'll be like :), but they still won't get far in the playoffs. So it will be pointless to be happy about it.

If they lose, I'll be like :(, because of the sweep from the same team in the playoffs last year.

Ahh, this season sucks man. Regular season games are actually a highlight for me, but more than often end up as a dud. It's like a cat playing with a mouse before a gruesome meal is the final conclusion.

Just get it over with L.A! Put the bench players in as starters and tank the season. When the off seasons shows up, trade the bench (all of it), for the 1st draft pick and build from there.

-End of rant-

For all but a couple of minutes of the 1st Quarter I was depressed about the state of the Lakers Offense. I really felt bad. Then Sessions came in and it was like a beam of light, suddenly there was ball movement and what looked like direction with the set plays! Oh my God, first time this season! No doubt he had a great game and no doubt he won't shoot like that all the time but it is a glimmer of hope. Interesting thing will be how they handle the rotations to keep the offense going steady.

Pau had a great great shooting night.

Bynum needs to grow up, it became apparent he's got some immature attitude brewing there. Chill out.

Kobe's alley-oop reverse no look lay up with a foul was amazing.

So after that game I am... :D

I'm glad Fisher is with OKC rather than Miami. I really didn't want to hate him by association lol
