I overheard someone say this the other day: "Kevin Durant is all right, but he ain't nice. I mean he ain't that nice."

Which Kevin Durant is he watching?

He had a pretty horrible Game 3. But yeah, hopefully Game 4 they can tie it back up.

Westbrook doesn't make great decisions. He needs to learn when to attack and when to make a play for someone else. He needs to learn that quick.

I didn't watch the game but I followed the score up until the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter. I could not fucking believe they lost. The Mavs went on a 21-4 run in the 4th and overtime combined. The Sonics fan in me is telling me to hate the Thunder but I don't want to. Still, you don't deserve shit if you lose like this.

Toward the end of the 4th I thought "Thunder don't deserve to lose this" and I usually hate that mentality but they were in control the whole game. Then the final minutes of the 4th Quarter and the whole of OT I changed my mind.

Bulls please save my interest in these Playoffs :(

The Lakers hired Mike Brown and embraced irrelevance.

The Bulls got big-leagued in the final minutes of basically every game, and LeBron proved he's better than Derrick Rose (by a lot).

Yeah, I'd say LeBron is the best. But he hasn't won anything yet. Go Mavs (please).

every bodys talkin about what Scottie said this mornin hung over

Horace Grant:
"Pip is my man, and we will always be close but I totally disagree...LeBron is going to be one of the top players to ever play the game. But Michael Jeffrey Jordan, who we bumped heads with at times, is I think in my era, the best who ever played the game.....
I'm kind of at a loss for words because Michael Jordan ... when you win numerous MVPs and you've taken the team to six championships -- and probably could have been eight if he didn't retire those two years -- and MVPs in the playoffs ... and he made us better....Believe me, he made myself, Scottie, B.J. (Armstrong), even Bill Cartwright who I love, he made us better players. He gave us that confidence. But first we had to earn his trust. And once we earned his trust you saw championship after championship."

Half of espns coverage of the 'debate' is a mix of Michael and Lebrons dunks
dumbasses

In that respect, its a lot more complex than that. What's happening with the Lakers is a complete change of regime. The Phil Jackson era has come to an end with a lot of words exchanged between him and the owner's son. Owner Jerry Buss is too old to be chasing day to day activities on the team and he has left his son Jimmy Buss in charge. Jimmy Buss is sort of the 'Corleone' that isn't getting the recognition he is so desperate for. He is the older brother to Jeannie Buss (Jackson's squeeze) yet she gets a lot more plaudits than him and that obviously bruises his ego.

Jimmy Buss first dick swinging act was to higher Mike Brown as coach. It's more of a big f!@k you to Phil Jackson and his triangle system, than a hire. The f!@k you also extended to Brian Shaw because of his ties to Jackson. In addition, GM Mitch Kupchak's long time assistant, Ronnie Lester also didn't have his contract renewed after 26 years spent with the Lakers. Lester is the same guy that brought Andrew Bynum to Jimmy's attention, leading to his drafting to play for the Lakers. When Bryant went on his rant about being traded to Pluto, Jimmy Buss is the one who vetoed the trade of Bynum for Jason Kidd. Bynum was also drafted because Jerry Buss has always believed the center and guard combo is what is critical to winning championships (see Lakers history). Jimmy made this move to prove a point to his Dad. The fact is, Bynum is Jimmy's man love and wants a coach that wouldn't cave in to Bryant's egotistic thoughts on offense (see Bryant's comment about Bynum falling in line).

Until Mike Brown wins a championship, he is the wrong hire for the Lakers. That is the only measuring stick he has. Unfortunately, with Bryant refusing to accept his ability is on the decline, Mike Brown will not have an easy job stamping his authority on the team. However, this is the kind of drama that makes the Lakers the perfect Hollywood team. Personally, I think the Lakers fans are officially in for the dark days, even darker than when we had Kwane Brown and Chris Mihm as our starters. This is what being a fan is about, sticking with your team through the super and the ugly.

NB: It gets worse with the dick swinging: Lakers long time equipment manager has also been told to hit the road by Jimmy Buss. {END OF MIKE BROWN REPLY}

Thank you...thank you...no need to applaud my prediction on the NBA Finals teams being the Heat and Mavs. I do this for ya'll, not for me :) I've never understood why Lebron James is hated so much. The guy is good at what he does, whether its playing hoops or acting a fool. Be ready to hate his guts even more when the Heat win the NBA finals.

I'll comment on the Pip-Jordan comment when I read more about it.

Not Understanding gettin Mike Brown in there, Lakers want to get away from the triangle. would of rather had Brian Shaw. Kobe will win a 6th title before he retires, be ready especially when LA gets Howard in the offseason.

It will be interesting. But as Kobe said this is what's being a fan, sticking it out. Teams don't stay on top forever, need to hit the refresh button and wait it out til the Finals come back around for LA. Will be interesting what happens on the offseason.

What did Scottie say?

Pippen said something like this: "Jordan was the best scorer of all time, but LeBron may be the best to ever play the game."

That would be true if Jordan stopped playing after three years. But he, uh, didn't. He became a perennial all-defensive team selection and won a defensive player of the year award. I don't know what Pip's got to be sour about, but he sounds it. Jordan could do absolutely everything LeBron can do, and he did it all the time. LeBron's great, but this comment is crazy. LeBron James has a very long way to go before he earns any legitimate Jordan comparisons. Kobe I can understand. Kobe's earned the comparison. Not LeBron. Not yet.

I can't believe Pippen would dismiss Jordan like that, make him sound one-dimensional. There were a lot of guys who were great scorers who don't belong among the game's all-time greats. Tracy McGrady comes to mind. Bernard King. To me he's lumping MJ in with those guys. Me don't like.
