Over-rated albums?

What in your opinion are very over-rated rap/hip hop albums? For me:

Bacdafucup: I have seen people say that this is a classic album and as far as i know it even won some rap album of the year awards back in 1993. I cant see what the fuss is about. This album had no replay value for me whatsoever. imo its just alot of roaring and shouting. The beats are pretty good though. Black Moon's Enta Da Stage has a similar hardcore vibe to it but it is a far better album imo.

The Blueprint:
Dont get me wrong i like this album but it was never a 5 mic classic imo. There are one or two songs on this that i dont care for. Reasonable Doubt is Jay-Z best album

Stillmatic: It came around the same time as the Blueprint and i think it was a case of, if one gets 5 mics so does the other one. Its a good album but there are songs i dont care for here. The Marshall Mathers LP was another album released around this time. Eminem has every right to be pissed of that his album didnt get 5 mics when these two did imo.

The Infamous:
Again, its an album i like but for me Hell on Earth is Mobb Deeps best album not the Infamous. I probably listen to Hell on Earth more than this although songs like Shook Ones and Survival of the Fittest are great imo

Be: Yea Common is a legend and this album has some nice production but this album bores me.

College Dropout & Late Registration
:
I never saw what the fuss over Kanye West was about. I bought both these albums on release day. Both were heralded as great and some say that they are classic. I do like some songs but i rarely listen to these two albums.

Madvillainy: zzzzzz. i hate this album.

Venni Vetti Vecci: I have heard this being called a classic and Ja Rule's best.Nonsense, its as wack as all his other albums.

I have out of those Jay's, Nas', & Ye's, and I don't think any of them are overrated. On The Blueprint, there ARE a few tracks I don't care for, but I don't hate them, so they don't take away from it. Same with Stillmatic, but I can play that front to back, too. As far as Ye's two you mentioned, I think they're both great, except there are too many skits.

I def. think The Blueprint and Stillmatic are 5 mic albums. And although I love Em, I don't think TES is a 5 mic album--too much filler.

One overrated--but still good--album IMO (and I know I'm gonna get hate for this) is All Eyez On Me. If it was only one disc, I think it's 5 mic material. Not as good as MATW, SIR, or DK7.

I do not agree with what I underlined. The Eminem Show is not a classic. Doesn't deserve 5 mic. Neither does Stillmatic. The Blueprint deserves it.

Stillmatic >>>>>>>>>>>>> The Blueprint.

C'mon you guys. You just CAN NOT FUCK WITH:

"Got Yaself A Gun"
"Ether"
"Destroy & Rebuild"
"One Mic"
"Rewind"
"You're Da Man"
"The Flyest" w/AZ
"2nd Childhood"

All up there as some of Nas's best.

The only reason I can say for it not getting 5 mics is because it falls slightly short of the incredibly high bar that Nas set with "Illmatic" and has never been able to top.

I like stillmatic but think that the blueprint fits to that list. I never liked it.
There are many overrated albums but I think the most overrated albums were released during the last few years.

fuck it i meant to say that Eminem had every right to be pissed of that The Marshall Mathers LP didnt get 5 mics. No way did Eminem Show deserve to get it.

wow i have to completely disagree here. The Eminem Show is not a classic? There isn't a single piece of filler on that album. How many albums can you say that about? Not only is it a classic, it is one of the best rap albums of all time. I think it's superior to MMLP, although that is also one of the best rap albums of all time. Stillmatic is also a classic that deserves 5 mics and I must say that although I like Jay Z and loved Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint is not even a good album much less a great one. I had it and lost it somewhere and never bothered trying to find it.

No one really responded to thread like i requested. The whole point of this thread wasnt to discuss which album is better than the other. I was interested in reading what others thought and why.

Every thread goes off topic here nowadays. where the mods at?
