What in your opinion are very over-rated rap/hip hop albums? For me:
Bacdafucup: I have seen people say that this is a classic album and as far as i know it even won some rap album of the year awards back in 1993. I cant see what the fuss is about. This album had no replay value for me whatsoever. imo its just alot of roaring and shouting. The beats are pretty good though. Black Moon's Enta Da Stage has a similar hardcore vibe to it but it is a far better album imo.
The Blueprint: Dont get me wrong i like this album but it was never a 5 mic classic imo. There are one or two songs on this that i dont care for. Reasonable Doubt is Jay-Z best album
Stillmatic: It came around the same time as the Blueprint and i think it was a case of, if one gets 5 mics so does the other one. Its a good album but there are songs i dont care for here. The Marshall Mathers LP was another album released around this time. Eminem has every right to be pissed of that his album didnt get 5 mics when these two did imo.
The Infamous: Again, its an album i like but for me Hell on Earth is Mobb Deeps best album not the Infamous. I probably listen to Hell on Earth more than this although songs like Shook Ones and Survival of the Fittest are great imo
Be: Yea Common is a legend and this album has some nice production but this album bores me.
College Dropout & Late Registration: I never saw what the fuss over Kanye West was about. I bought both these albums on release day. Both were heralded as great and some say that they are classic. I do like some songs but i rarely listen to these two albums.
Madvillainy: zzzzzz. i hate this album.
Venni Vetti Vecci: I have heard this being called a classic and Ja Rule's best.Nonsense, its as wack as all his other albums.
