Chris Bosh isn't waiting for some summit to determine his landing spot next season. The soon-to-be Toronto Raptors free agent is determined to chart his own course and forge his own identity apart from the star-studded field of peers also entering the open market.

"I don't want to be mentioned as an addition to a team," Bosh said prior to the season [video below]. "I want to be mentioned as the guy that people want to center their team around."

Detroit will, they just need a few new young players in the organization. you still got Prince and Rip hamilton, plus Gordon and Villanueva. get everybody healthy and detroit could be a contender again.

well, i thought i heard speculation a while back that they weren't going to keep both rip and tayshaun in the same team. they are my two favourite players there, rip is my favourite in the NBA.

what about stuckey? he was a prospect for the future and was full of energy when i last saw him play. and ben wallace isnt the same as he used to be. when i last saw the pistons play against cleveland, maxiell wasnt getting time on the court, he was fit to play.

i dont follow this vey much at all now since ESPN have all the rights to the NBA in England now.

pistons fucked up by trading billups. they got guards that play identical, kwame brown, and basically no big man in the paint.

bynum/stuckey/rip/gordon are all scorers. id trade stuckey for a playmaking pg plus bynum would be cheaper to keep. trade rip since they just gordon to a big ass contract he didnt deserve.

austin daye looks promising but theyll prob trade prince to further develop him. that jerekobo guy can play too.

lol everyone is changing their logo and colors. i think its for economic purposes because a bunch of teams are doing to generate jersey sales and shit.

utah jazz went to their old logo from the 80s.

The new/old Jazz and Warriors logos are steps in the right direction. If the Wizards go back to the red, white, and blue, I think all of the 90s monstrosities will be gone--the obvious exceptions being OKC/CHA and Cleveland, who have fifty jerseys/logos/color combos so who gives a fuck anyway?

What do we think of the recent trades?

* Dalembert for Spencer Hawes and Nocioni
Dumb as shit by Philly. Stefanski has to be the worst GM-who's-not-hamstrung-by-an-owner doing it. This is like something out of the Larry Bird lineup management strategy. Nocioni is old, overpaid and overrated. Hawes is easily the worst big man in the NBA. I'd take Hasheem Thabeet over Spencer Hawes. Plus, he's a raging Republican, Fox News watcher, and makes me ashamed to like the Diplomats:

The worst thing about this is that that's all they got for a $15 million expiring contract. I weep for Evan Turner and myself, a future Philly resident.

* Corey Maggette for Charlie Bell's and Dan Gadzuric's expiring contracts
I guess this could work for Milwaukee... the same way the Richard Jefferson trade was supposed to. Dick-Jeff probably would've probably worked out better for the Bucks if Bogut had been around for even half the season. This is probably a better move than picking up Vince Carter or some dumb shit like that.

Golden State: "We let Baron Davis go for nothing." I weep for Seth Curry and Greg Monroe/Demarcus Cousins. But yay for the future D-League callups.

yea man, that was a terrible trade for the sixers. hawes is limited. nocioni hasnt been the same since he signed that contract extension with the bulls. i used to like his game but he hasnt done shit the past 2-3 years. doesnt dalamberts contract expire this year or next year? i know nocioni got ike 3 years left.

i dont know yet about the maggette trade. i doubt it'll work out. maggette doesnt pass the ball. he just looks out for his stats. i think this trade was done because john salmons is opting out and i just read the nets trade CDR for a second round pick from the bucks. theyre stacking up on swingmen. redd/salmons/maggette/delfino/cdr. i wonder whos getting traded next, my guess is redd.

The Miami Heat have agreed in principle to trade Daequan Cook and the 18th overall pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for the No. 32 selection in the draft, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

good pick up for the thunder, added another young shooter. i think miami now has some more money to spend this summer.
