The Official NBA Thread 2011-12

^wth, change of pg's? lol. I wouldn't do it either.

Check check:

There's a pretty good chance that Chris Bosh(notes) could get traded by the Toronto Raptors before the NBA's Feb. 15 deadline, according to ESPN. And if he does, it could wreak havoc on the off-season plans of the New Jersey Nets and New York Knicks.

The Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers are two of the teams that are apparently interested in grabbing Bosh from the Raptors. If he goes to either one of those teams, it is thought that Bosh would want to re-sign with them when he becomes a free agent this summer (or work out an extension before the trade occurs).

The Knicks and Nets are planning to throw as much money as possible at Bosh and LeBron James(notes) this summer in the hopes of bringing a big name to the Big Apple area. If Bosh disappears off the market before the free-agent season even begins, it would be a blow to teams that are hoping to sign one to lure the other.
Ahh, come to LA! So yak can stop watching basketball hahaha.
Or to the Rockets so art can come back to the forums and brag haha.

^i hope bosh goes to the nets. lopez/bosh/harris maybe lee if he stops crying will be a nice competitive squad. i want lebron to say cle so the knick fans can bitch some more.

i swear i will stop watchin basketball if bosh is on the lakers.

bosh/gasol/odom/artest/kobe

wtf...................

^that wouldn't work, I heard. It would only work after July 1st because of something that has to do with bynums contract. I don't see this trade happening. He's going to the rockets for tmac. Raptos will not resign tmac and will have space for a Wade or lebron?

i read couple of days ago if they cant move t-mac then a buyout is more likely. imo spurs or mavs will snatch him if that happens.

the raptors dug them self a hole. hedo was a terrible signing. the ford trade was terrible, calderon hasnt been a leader and doesnt play defense. bosh will def bolt out of toronto.

good thing we didnt bet lol i always lose bets haha

great win for the spurs even thou gasol didnt play. big 3/4 did their thing on the court + the bench stepped up. hopefully the spurs can build off this into a solid win streak cuz i know their confidence is up now.

I don't think the Bynum/Bosh deal will work out let alone believe that it's true. Lakers have invested a lot in Bynum and he is an integral piece to the future of the club once #24 is gone. This the same guy they wouldn't put on the block when they had a chance to get Jason Kidd. Let alone that Bynum wasn't even that important back then (see Kobe Bryant mix tape)

I think where Lebron ends up is what to watch for more than anything. What about Joe Johnson, that's a star no one ever seems to even talk about.

By the way, that phantom shot is nuts.

Did you guys see the evacuation at the Clippers arena? Dunleavy joked that even Auberbach couldn't pull that one off :D

The other thing I've been wondering about, how do the NBA decide who is wearing retro kits, switching home jerseys with away jerseys and vice versa? Why are they letting Lebron get away with wearing one orange shoe and one blue one? Tribute? Yeah right. Nike marketing? Hell yeah!!

Speaking of the clippers... I forgot this guy was still in existance. Haven't heard about him in so long, and now that we get news about him, it's not very good...

LOS ANGELES (AP)—Blake Griffin’s(notes) first season with the Los Angeles Clippers is over before it even began.

Griffin will have surgery on his broken left kneecap, keeping the No. 1 draft pick out for at least more four months, the eternally star-crossed Clippers announced in a statement Wednesday.

Griffin hasn’t played a regular-season game yet for the Clippers after injuring his kneecap in their final preseason game Oct. 23, wincing in pain as he landed after a dunk. After resting the stress fracture for several weeks, the former Oklahoma star recently increased his workload in rehabilitation by running on an anti-gravity treadmill.
Sucks ass for the clips.

clippers and blazers are cursed franchises.

clippers draft busts:
- Al thornton
- Yaroslav Korolev
- Shaun Livingston
- Chris Wilcox
- Melvin Ely
- Tyson Chandler
- Darius Miles
- Quentin Richardson
- Lamar Odom
- Michael Olowokandi
- Lorenzen Wright
^all the those picks were top 10 except for ely (12). 4 of those picks are out of the nba.

tyson chandler and lamar odom are busts?
dont ya think someone who was takin 2nd overall should avg more than 8pts and 10rebs? chandler is a bust, no doubt.

iight, odom is more of a underachiever. he was drafted 4th overall, i'd expect more from a 6'10 player who can dribble, shoot, pass, get boards and defend. he hasnt even been in a all star game ever.
