try searching google for "the orchid orientation". it was released between seasons 3 and 4 and can be considered 100% cannon. if they can multiply rabbits, they can probably multiply planes. hey, it's far out there, but i wouldn't be surprised either.
Really interesting theory. I just don't think the writers would complicate the plot that much.

I'm about to watch episode eight now. I'm really excited about it, I think it's gonna be a really great episode. I might post while I'm having a smoke pause for fun ehehe.

I heard from somebody that episode eight was the best of the season so far, but I was a bit underwhelmed. I know it wasn't really designed to serve as the end of the first half of season 4, but it still seemed to end pretty abruptly. Plus, the Michael flashback stuff was interesting, but not very surprising.

i agree.

i think the latter half is gonna be good though. lol. everybody will say shit like that all the time, but i really think the last five episodes are gonna rock. have you seen the promo for next week? "welcome to the war, John"

seriously, this is hands down the best promo this season:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=XFiUg7n2tCQ

watching ben and locke "working together" whatever they are doing was nice. here's hoping that the others and the losties become one against the freighter folk.

the episode did raise a few interesting questions:
- for a long time, people thought the temple had something to do with the four-toed statue. ben's map indicates that the temple is a dharma station and a refuge. it was probably a refuge for the original dharma employees too, but it's probably not a temple in the sense we thought. either way, i'm interested to see what the others have been up to, and it seems they are trying to move the others back into the storyline now.
- did ben know what was gonna happen when he sent danielle, alex and karl to the others' hideout? he knew about the freighter, he knew who the people on it were, he was able to deliver an order to juliette, so presumably he knows about the snipers if they are from the freighter (doubt the others are this pro)?
- situation now: widmore hired a group to secure ben and kill all others. ben is hated by all the losties. sayid and desmond is on the freighter. the freighter people have alex.
future situation: what's gonna happen to alex? desmond doesn't make it back to the world, so is he killed, or is he still on the island? if sayid makes it off, why not desmond? is the freighter a part of them getting off the island at all, or do the oceanic six find another way? how does sayid go from being on the freighter, to being back in the real world killing for ben whom he hates? also, friendly being in n.y. must have been after jack was brought to the barracks and after sawyer and kate escaped. meaning after the purple lighting that supposedly knocked out the transmitter that made it possible to find the island again. shit, it could even be after the sub was blown to bits. so how do the others get off?

-------------SPOILER-------------

the guy who plays karl did an interview after he got killed in episode 8, where he said that there was a scene shot not shown in the episode where you could see the snipers in jungle camo suits. a rumored report mentions the dharma barracks being stormed by a BUNCH of military soldiers. i'm not sure what's up with that, but i bet it has something to do with lapidus' delivery. now with the new promo, i think lost is gonna get pretty epic in the latter half of the season.

most anticipated moment:

when the freighter folk run into the smoke monster. oh man. sniper rifles and ghillie suits won't help them.

Yeah, but can you trust Ben's map? For all we know, he could have sent them off in completely the wrong direction, knowing that Harper would be waiting to pick off Karl and Rousseau with a sniper rifle.

desmond doesn't make it back to the world, so is he killed, or is he still on the island?
We don't know that. He's not one of the O6, but that's because he wasn't on the plane. I like to think LOST will give us at least one happy ending, with Desmond and Penny reuniting.

one of my spoilers give good grounds to believe that harper and the others have nothing to do with karl's death. ben might have known what would happen, but i don't think it was the others.

i think so too, but i think that's one of the things that'll be saved for last. we know some people get off. i don't know how the show will evolve over the next two seasons, but i like to think that everything involves the oceanic six going back to the island or doing SOMETHING to help the people still there. meaning desmond can still be stuck on the island for another two seasons before something happens between him and penny.

another thing that now bugs me is karl. he didn't know the brady bunch so it seems he grew up on the island, but was he part of the others? what's his story? why was he hiding for the others for so long? just because of ben? why did all the other others go along with it? i doubt ben said jacob wanted karl banished (lol) so there has to be more to that story. he got killed off because the actor himself got a chance to play in a broadway show, but imo he died prematurely.

Personally I think it was the others that killed Karl and Rousseau. Rousseau by the way I think she was still breathing when the camera panned out. And will the Island heal her?

Its far fetched, but perhaps the Others from the Temple shot them as a test to see if they heal and thus are worthy or something?

I dont think Jin is dead.

If the Others have sniper rifles with silencers then why did the Others use those old guns then? :)

But yeah, Rousseau isn't dead, and I bet she'll eat the bullet just fine.

Because they never needed to use Sniper rifles. They used the guns to intimidate the Losties, not pick them off one by one. Or maybe these are some higher up Others.

i found a "MAJOR SPOILER" concerning the season finale yesterday, on april the 1st. i didn't think about it at first, especially weird being that i know they still need to write the finale and the episode before it yet. so an april fool's joke. anyway, lol, would have been a sick twist, possibly might have just killed the show:

Well Kristin reported a week ago that Kate was scheduled to get another centric episode this season and our source has confirmed that she does indeed get that episode!! It will be episode 4x12 (part 1 of the two part finale).

However, the shocker is that Kate is exposed to high amounts of radiation and electromagnetism and begins flashing like Desmond. Not able to control her flashes Kate snaps by killing Jack in a Flashforward and Sawyer in real time on-island. With out any constant the touching moment at the end has Kate dying because of the sickness "side-effects".

I'm convinced Claire's going to get smoke monster'd.

Not sure if this was in the trailer posted, but the UK trailer shows Keamy pointing a gun at Alex's head.
