I have a friend that dropped his S4 and fucked up the digitizer. The screen is fine, but the digitizer needs to be replaced. And it's a $199 part. Which Samsung was offering to fix for $130.
He's opted to buy a new phone, though he claims he can't afford the repairs on the phone. So he sold his S4 on Craigslist for $130 and I think he's going to move his upgrade early and get one under contract. Or some shit.
It just didn't make sense, what he was doing. But I now know no one with a Samsung phone that does not currently have a fucked up screen. My S3 and a friend's is cracked in almost the same place. Another friend cracked his S4. And now this digitizer shit.
I could use my parents' upgrade since New Year's but I think I'm going to keep this S3 for as long as I can. Resale on this thing will be a bitch because it has a broken screen so I might as well run it into the ground before upgrading. Also, Sprint needs to fix its coverage in my home area. In my house, I get shit data speeds. Everywhere else, I am flying along at LTE speeds, downloading my CM nightlies daily within 5 minutes. Thing is, I'm never out the house to enjoy it. So Sprint needs to fix it in my home.
If my sister just told me to keep her iPad 2, I'd actually be pretty happy and would take her up on it. It's what I need and I actually don't really need the Retina display of the Air. It would certainly be nice, but prices are outrageous. I'd rather splurge on the 2014 Note 10.1. That S Pen might be a gimmick but I like it. I could definitely do more with it than I could on an iPad's multitasking thing.
What is the difference between the Tab and the Note 10.1?
