They showed how dominant they were. Looks like the AFC is no longer the dominant conference it had been the past decade, or so. Dominant in the sense that it was a tougher conference to make it out alive from and had tougher teams. Now it's completely switched.

Before, it was the Giants of some NFC West team repping the NFC. I mean, if an 8-8 Giants team can win the SB, what does that say about your conference? At the same time, we had Denver, NE, Indianapolis, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh. NFC had the Giants and the Saints and maybe the Packers....But not as consistently as the other AFC teams.

Now it's been turned into just NE and Denver from the AFC and then the NFC sports the Saints, Niners, Seahawks, Carolina, and on a lower level Philly and GB. Minus this season, the Falcons were contenders too, since 2008.

Pete Carroll just picked up some rag tag players other teams had given up on and just coached them up, or something. Now they're all Pro-Bowl players. They paid Harvin like $10 mill just for that game last night, though they really may not have needed him anyway. A whole season on IR and then one game just pulls some shit like that.

The only silver lining (because fuck Seattle and a friend of mine that rides the state dick) is that the Niners came so close to beating them in Seattle. I think the Niners with a healthy Crabtree next season win that division. Seattle can fuck off and probably lose some players once Wilson can actually negotiate a contract in 2015.
