Oh, and Casey, that song you said you liked up there? I emailed the singer a couple of hours ago and he responded to me in twelve minutes. Things like this make me very happy.
Love 'em. I freaked out when they won the Grammy! It was my inner music snob, repelled at the thought of a band I treasure getting real-world recognition. Indie points subtracted, lol. But yeah in 30 years I think they'll be seen as one of those truly epochal bands, a la The Beatles or U2.
I'm really digging Lights at the moment, she's a Canadian synthpop artist and her new album Siberia is awesome. And she's hot. And I'll probably go see her live in a couple months cos she's coming to my city.
^Embedding doesn't work, but yeah, that song is great. Mumford & Sons = not my cup of tea. Too derivative. (I say this fully aware that I'm posting a song that is basically The Beatles' Second Cousin, but hey, a lot of good music can be described that way.)
The name of the band is The Olivia Tremor Control.
Ha! Dude, I was listening to this and thought, hey, that reminds me of the Human League. Then I realized that it IS PHIL OAKLEY SINGING. I have good ears. lol.
