Curren$y & Fiend - Flying Iron

Jets Fool!
Track is so smooth, and when is the last time you heard Fiend? Sick.

The Sample: The Menehan Street Band - Tired Of Fighting

Speaking of The Menehan Street Band...you should recognize this...around the 1 minute mark you should definitely start to recognize it

And The Winner Is...

Executive Brass

Coupes & Leers

And if you're thinking you've heard that beat before you probably have.

Camp Lo - Coolie High

Word is there is a project in the works from these two, sounds oh so good to me so far

Edit: I'll most likely just keep posting a bunch of random shit in here so yeah

Yeah I've listened to it a little, it's good from what I can tell.

How do you feel about Minaj on Monster? I made a version without her on it, lol

^She has the hottest flow on the song I think. The way she switches the tone and accent of her voice from all barbie-like to raw and shit, that's not easy to do. People need to recognize and respect that shit. I enjoy listening to her verse on that.

Are you kidding me? That shit is obnoxious as hell, she is so annoying to listen to. Changing your pitch is not hard to do, it's not like her flow is changing or anything. She just accentuates certain words and fucks with her pitch and how her voice just sounds really. However you choose to explain it what she does is mad lame to me. Since it's an easy comparison Weezy is the best example I can give of a rapper who does this right, cus he does that sort of thing but he does it well. He uses it when it's necessary you could say. She just does it cus it seems she has nothing else to lean on.

Her flow was changing because the beat was changing. And obviously being a member of Young Money will make some styles brush off each other. She does it in this song because the concept is "monster" and she switches the pitch up to show that she's a "monster".

She's a female rapper not willing/able to go the Lauren Hill and Jean Grae route. Instead, she chose creative delivery and punchlines a la Weezy to make her presence felt. I wouldn't say she has nothing else to lean on...she didn't even release an album yet. I just listened to Bottoms Up and she killed that shit too.

The shit you're saying is exactly what people have been saying about Lil Wayne for the longest time. Annoying voice/delivery, etc. It's almost a love/hate thing. You liked it on a male rapper, but not on a female one.

Sofi. People do say that about Lil' Wayne but to me it's way different. I think people just like to hate on the dude. To me he doesn't go overboard with it. Nicki on the other hand can't go without it. Reminds me of Jay-Z saying his weakest part about him is his voice and that's why he accentuates certain syllables so it doesn't sound too bad, I think he said something like that on Fade to Black. But yeah, she does it for whatever reason, and I think it's to hide the fact that she is weak, straight up. And get out with your female male comparison, i don't like when Em does it either

Everyone has his personal sensitivity to how annoying can a rapper be.
To me a rapper is an artist. I wouldn't listen to a singer with voice I'd dislike - same way for rap to me.

So Lil Wayne is way overboard to me, Kanye is way overboard to me. Damn, I'm a Smif&Wessun fan but I can barely listen to Tek. That's probably also why Jay-Z lines don't impress me at all - because all I hear is "yyy eee yyy chea" boring voice.

I haven't heard Minaj yet though. But I'm kind of scared.

I don't think she's weak, her lyrics are fairly witty. I think it just comes down to what Masta said, "Everyone has his personal sensitivity to how annoying can a rapper be."

Fair enough on the last sentence.

That's always been my problem with Jay. Some songs I can get onboard with. Who can fault Big Pimpin'? Never had that problem with weezy though.
