Humans sure do fuck things up. I wish there were some sore of black people in there. Guess I gotta deal with the blue ppl. Great movie though. It is epic.
There were black people in the movie. Not a lot, but there were some.

Also, if you paid attention... there were heavy African influences in the tribal people of Pandora. The hairstyles, the music, the way of life, the facial features... it was pretty obvious.

yea, i saw about 1 or 2 soldiers. Nobody with a main part though.

And i did notice the influences of the Na'vi. I think they were both a African and Native American mixture. They just happened to be blue (subliminal for black), ya know? its cool

What a movie... it was like you were part of the adventure. Probably the best movie I've seen in a LONG time, and probably in my top 3 faves of all time.

Story was great, it resonates with a lot of what we can see when we turn on our TV and history of civilizations also (Imperialism, etc). I loved the blending of African and Native culture for the Na'vi. I couldn't spot much wrong with the movie.

PS: I love Michelle Rodriguez... She is the hawtness, and has always been.

What the fuck is going on with the movie??!

I got people left and right saying it's now in their top 3.

WTF?!

IS it that good?

Yeah, it's great. It's like being taken on an adventure.

Some say that the story was a bit too obvious and simple, but it's perfected simplicity, something that seems to be quite hard to do nowadays, especially in Hollywood movies that seems to have lost that creative spark

Agreed with Flip....Michelle Rodriguez was awesome.

Anyway, I heard the movie just surpassed a billion dollars at the box office. It could well become the biggest earner of all time......right now it just needs to beat out "The Dark Knight" and Cameron's last movie, "Titanic" which holds the top spot.

There's something about Cameron's movies that get people going back to the cinema again and again to watch them. That's why Titanic has the top spot. I remember when it came, the sister of my best friend at the time went to see it 8 or 9 times at the cinema. I'm starting to see that trend with Avatar as well. It needs to do that if it's gonna take the top spot.

Dark Knight took pretty much its whole time at the theatre to gross 1 billion I read, Avatar did it wayyy quick. I'm going to go see it for a second time this week, fuck that 8 or 9 times bullshit though lol

It already beat out Dark Knight.

It's only 2 weeks out and it hit a billion?
Shit's gonna beat out everything, possibly even Titanic which sits at 1.8 billion.
