What Are You Eating/Drinking Right Now

Masta. Soda plays a huge part in fat around the waste. It fucks with your insulin and glucose levels in a horrible way and yeah, you become a fatty. Just stop drinking soda and sugary drinks and you'll be fine. If you need to drink a sugary drink mix it with water, you'll barely tell the difference
Yeah, I know. I even give that advice to other people trying to lose weight, but.. Coke and pizza are two things that are the hardest for me to kick out of my diet. I think I'm addicted. I eat pizza only once a week or so now, and limited myself to 2 small cans of coke a day, but when I'm not drinking coke I'm drinking fruit juice, which contains almost as much sugar. I just don't like the taste of water, unless I'm at the gym

I used to drink 6 cans of Coke a day, a few years ago...! I now drink zero cans a day. Water is really the best drink for your body.

I used to have a bad caffeine addiction and was drinking a couple sodas a day sometimes more. It was really messing with my health, noticeable things, and it scared me. I went cold turkey and felt sick for a couple weeks and it eventually subsided and I felt like a new person afterwards. It was and still is crazy how much it fucked with me

I am the same with soda. A can a day, at least. And usually with a meal, but I've gotta cut that out. I didn't drink soda on the island either. It was all just water for me, and that was partially because of how retardedly hot it was. Coke I picked up once I got home and had access to a car and the gas station down the street. 79 cents for a Big Gulp is never a bargain when your health is taken into account.

Water really is amazing. I have a Brita jug next to me on my desk at all times, so if I'm reading, I at least drink water that way.

Speaking of water, has anyone tried the Klean Kanteen cups? Not the bottles or thermos, just the cup, which is like, $10 each. Metal cup that I'm thinking about buying to use as a cup on the island. It's durable and may not need to be cleaned as much. Since I'll be drinking water in it, it won't need to be cleaned daily if I leave it on my table or something. Or is that still nasty? If I put juice or milk in it, then I'd wash it afterwards. But more importantly, it would keep my drink cold and be a durable cup which won't break if dropped on my hard floor or in my suitcase there and back. Better than using a plastic, disposable cup for days at a time for water.

I only wash my klean kanteen bottle rarely. I leave it in my desk drawer at work and drink water from it daily. I wash it every week or 2. lol

As for Soda and health effects... I used to drink 6 cans a day and never noticed any ill effects, apart from when the dentist commented on the weakness of my enamel. Then I thought I better stop or I'll end up looking like a Northerner.

Ah ok, good deal. I'll have to get a KK then. I won't have any use for the water bottle on the island, because I buy a 5L thing for $2.50 for home use and then I buy a 1.5L daily on campus for $1 to drink throughout the day, but in my room after school, I need a durable glass and I'm wondering if the KK cup was overkill.

This is the one I'm talking about http://www.amazon.com/Klean-Kanteen...=1365002090&sr=8-2&keywords=klean+kanteen+cup

I may as well bring a steel cup from home for a dollar then, if this cup really has no health benefits. Or does it?

This is the main reason - The Kanteen Pint is made from 18/8 food-grade stainless steel that's totally free of BPA and other toxins

Now that I've stopped drinking coke, and sodas in general, I can't drink them. Every now and then I get this deep craving for a coke so I will go and buy one, have two or three sips and realize it's way to sweet for me to drink and then I throw it out. The idea of a coke is now better to me than an actual coke. I don't even put sugar in my coffee anymore =p
