What Are You Eating/Drinking Right Now

I ate it last night, and I'm going to eat it today because the thought of it and the taste of it and the texture of it will not leave me. I can survive on this and spaghetti for the rest of my life as long as I have rice.

Hot tofu, preferably boiled in bonito and seaweed broth
Served in ponzu sauce with plenty of ground daikon radish and a sprinkle of lemon zest
perhaps a bowl of white rice and hot green tea

This is crack to me

PS> silky tofu.. the softest one you can get. fuck that spongy hard stuff.

I sometimes get free Chinese food because there's that amazing asian restaurant that I frequent. Whenever I enter they're like "yo brah" and hi-five me. I'm going there today as well.

Just had some Tostito Scoops with some creamy spinach dip and washed it down with a Pepsi Throwback.

Diets suck so much at times. I decided to drop 2kgs of fat, because I decided I have slightly too much of it around my belly area and for 3 weeks have been eating on average 1500 calories a day, some days eating more and some days eating less. I dropped 0,5kg which is almost nothing, and I suppose part of it is water and another part is surely muscle mass. I don't feel as healthy too because bigger part of these daily calorie intakes consisted of soda and fat foods, just in small amounts. Even cutting, I felt like I was hungry but not for healthy foods.
I know stuff about diet. I know what I should be doing and how it differs from what I am doing. But I cut daily intake in half, so the least I'd expect would be to drop twice as much as I did.

^werent u on a diet or something?

Haha, yeah, a bit. It was on and off. I actually started it this week again and plan to stick to it now that the weather is warmer and I can no longer hide my fatty fat behind my sweatshirt.

Rukas and a few others mentioned the keto diet and I've been reading a ton about it since October and managed to do well with it for a bit but then I stopped. So basically my diet today was a salad with avocado, tomatoes, cheese, and cucumber with about a bowl of mixed fruit....frozen fruit, lol, but it's my favorites like pineapple, mango, strawberries and peaches. More or less this

Also a piece of frozen buffalo chicken tender.

I also used a good bit of chipotle dressing on my salad, since the diet is heavy in fat and protein, as opposed to carbs. I'm still not sure how many carbs I should be eating but as a big boy, it shouldn't be much to begin with. I try to keep it under 30, which is really easy so long as I keep my craving for soda and rice at bay.

And then for dinner is when I eat a piece of fish, like salmon. I need to find a substitute for rice and pasta, and I'm not sure if whole-wheat will suffice to eliminate the "empty" carbs. They do have more fiber, though, so that should help some.

Now I'll need to step up my exercise regiment a bit too. I'm trying to stick to about 20-30 minutes of a steady pace of walking a day. Early in the morning to also start using some of the glycogen in my muscles. I feel like I'm real close to becoming diabetic and this diet is also supposed to be diabetic friendly, because of the low-carb intake. But it's really meat and fat heavy, like I mentioned before, so even though I love meat and feel that I can't live without it, I'll need to be a bit more picky over the meat I eat.

How tall are you and how much do you weigh? If you don't mind me asking.

Have you tried making better decisions when it comes to eating? You're gonna have to change your eating style permanently and not just diet, you know what I mean?

Also, is anyone going to Vegas this summer?

After watching things like Food that Kills, Forks over Knives and reading up on health and nutrition I can't believe people still eat things like soda, white rice and meat intensive meals.

Masta. Soda plays a huge part in fat around the waste. It fucks with your insulin and glucose levels in a horrible way and yeah, you become a fatty. Just stop drinking soda and sugary drinks and you'll be fine. If you need to drink a sugary drink mix it with water, you'll barely tell the difference

Yeah. Since my kidney stones I have made dietary changes. I have never been fat, which made my eating habits worse, as I look healthier than I am. I have cut out fizzy drinks by a lot. I pretty much only drink water or green tea these days. Although in my work environment it's hard to avoid coffee as most informal meetings are in coffee shops.

But... I did try and go full Veggie and ended up losing weight (which I don't want to do as I am already on the slim side). I now try and only eat one portion of meat a day, and rarely red meat. All my meat is sourced locally and is free range and organic. I don't shop in supermarkets.
