The Official NBA Thread 2011-12

to bulldoze thru the snow lol

i dont want to see iverson with the sixer. id rather see him in another jersey.

I think Philly was the only real home he had, I would like to see him retire from there. It is a make or break move...it can either resurrect his career, finish his career on a strong note, or further tarnish what is left of his legacy.

Even if Iverson does go out like this, I don't think he will be remembered as "washed up" and past his prime...look at how people remember Jordan, they don't let his stint in Washington tarnish is magnificent career. Look at Ali, he went on to lose fight after fight after the Rumble in the Jungle. People still remember those athletes as legends.

if AI is gonna retire after this season imo philly would be place to play out his finals games.

the last few games ive been watching, ive realized that players arent using the crossover as often as they did in the early 2000s... anyone else notice or am i watching bad teams? lol

^that's if they don't cut him. That contract is a slap in the face imo. No guarantee? When's the last time a 10 time all star got that kind of a contract? lololol.

Ya, the crossover isn't being used that much anymore. Players aren't flashy anymore. It was used mostly during Iverson's prime...

maybe theyre thinking of cuttin him if it doesnt work out or if williams is back lol the contract is a slap to the face of HOFamer

the wizards are now:
4-1 since abe died
5-4 since earl joined (5-3 since tawn came back)
and
7-10 overall (aka tied for 8th in the east, though charlotte owns the tiebreaker atm)

jamisons been ballin lately. imo one of the most underrated players in the league. is foye back yet?

Los Angeles Lakers forward Ron Artest(notes) has said that he drank cognac during games when he played with the Chicago Bulls.

“I used to drink Hennessy at halftime,” Artest said in an interview with Sporting News. “I (kept it) in my locker. I’d just walk to the liquor store (near the stadium) and get it.”

Artest admitted he was a “head case” when he broke into the NBA with the Bulls, for whom he played from 1999-2002.

The 30-year-old Artest said in the interview that the drinking happened in part because the Bulls lost so often.

lol, artest is a fkin G! Drinking Henn at half time. What's next? Iverson and Josh Howard smokin a blunt at halftime. hahaha.

I don't sympathize with the Nets but I sympathize with their fans. Whats happening now is a result of the team's own doing. I'm just wondering which team will give the Nets their first win.

Lakers biggest fan Henry Abbot put up a blog post about Ron Artest. Anyway, what cracked me up the most was not what he wrote but a comment from one of the users there.

That comment had me laughing for a long time. Maybe you need to see his picture to be as cracked up as I am. :)
