This was a real unfortunate incident. It just happened to be one of those times where someone fucks up for a brief moment and suffers to the max as a result. I would characterize Pac's death as something similar with respects to him beating on Orlando Anderson and Anderson's retaliation which ultimately got him killed.

Similar, but come on.

Beating does not equal a shooting. I'm not saying 'Pac couldn't have prevented his own death, but then again...yeah, you may have a point. These street types always end up with one party escalating.

Another mic falls silent and cold to the stage
Another talented MC taken down at an early age
Late night shots fired, he never stood a chance
Merely an unfortunate victim of circumstance
You may dislike the art, but at least have a heart
There was no reason for him to prematurely depart
Nobody believed it when they heard he was dead
