Well, in regards to the albums, when it comes to Nas, I can only speak on Illmatic as an album. It's the only album of his that I've heard the whole thing. I do like some Nas singles like "I Can" and "If I Ruled The World".
As far as Eminem goes, I think the Marshall Mather LP is his best mainstream album, I think Eminem Show is just behind it. TES, IMO, is only about a mic away from being a 5 mic album to me. However, I think the SSLP is fucking terrible, and while I do like half of Encore (I like tracks 1-7, 15, 16, 20 and of course I liked all three songs on the bonus CD) the other half of the album sucked and OVERALL
Encore was a major disappointment.
I'd give Encore 3 mics, MMLP 5 mics, TES 4 mics, SSLP 1 mic.
