What is passbook? I find usually that corporate America is in bed with Apple, so apps come to the iphone first. Not to mention coding for one piece of hardware is easier. So... Android usually gets apps from business second to Apple.

Rumor: Google Nexus 5 to be based on HTC DROID Incredible X
Back in May, the Wall Street Journal claimed that Google was working with a handful of manufacturers to release five Nexus devices later this year. According to a new rumor, HTC has been selected to create one of the new Nexus devices and is basing its handset on the HTC DROID Incredible X.
According to the anonymous source, the Google Nexus 5 will be running on Android 4.1.2 which isn’t a huge improvement over Android 4.1. The latest version of the Android OS includes improvements to Project Butter, extra lockscreen functionality, minors system tweaks and bug fixes. The hardware on the Google Nexus 5 is said to include a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro, 12 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, a large 2,500 mAh battery and up to 64GB of internal storage.
The source claims to have received the details of the Google Nexus 5 from a “reliable source within HTC” but has offered no real evidence to back up his claims. For now, we’ll be filing this report with the other Nexus rumors (Samsung, Sony and LG) and hope at least one of them turns into a real product that we’ll be able to buy within the next month or two.

Anyone know of an app that automatically switches profiles based on GPS location?
It knows I'm at work and so it turns on airplane mode and silences notifications. Then when I'm driving home, or simply leave the clinic, it turns everything back on again?
Also, is anyone on a SG3 using the stock ROM but still rooted? I wanted to go back to the stock ROM with root, but I wasn't sure if I still decided to remove Sprint bloatware, would it ruin the stability of the ROM.

I was on the stock rom and rooted for about 3 weeks. It was fine. But I did change the kernel too. I don't think it would ruin the stability of the rom at all. Removing the bloat would probably make it more efficient. The reason I rooted was to get rid of Vodafone apps that I didn't want installed. I did however delete the calendar, fuck knows how. It is not very widely available. Luckily I had a backup of a different phone and grabbed the apk from that. I suggest you disable the processes in root uninstaller, before deleting them fully.
So, Texas Instruments withdraws from the smartphone market. Interesting - no OMAPs any more. Not that they were a huge player and it's certainly good for the fragmentation problem but they were supposed to come up with the first A12 chip. Also it's surprising because it sounds like a pretty cool market to be in.

Google (GOOG) and its hardware partner ASUS are reportedly planning to launch a new $99 Nexus tablet this year that could open up the tablet market to a massive new group of consumers. The report comes fromDigitimes on Thursday, and it cites unnamed industry sources in claiming two new Nexus tablets are currently in the works. The first will apparently be a thinner version of the current $199 Nexus 7 and the second will be a new $99 model. Both tablets will utilize display panels from HannStar Display, the report claims. $99 is often thought of as the magic price point that makes purchase decisions far less difficult for consumers, and if Google can hit that price with a decent piece of hardware, it could very well mount a solid defense against Apple’s (AAPL) rumored upcoming iPad mini, which will be unveiled next month at a price point of either $249 or $299 according to earlier reports.
