Israel authorizes 'severe' response to abductions

Those nations/groups are calling on Israel to show restraint.
No,they are calling the Israelis terrorists.

Morris said:
Israel wouldn't have to fly into Lebanese airspace if Hezbollah hadn't set up shop on the border and continued its terrorist attacks on Israeli targets inside Israel after Israel's withdrawal from the country.
If Hizballah wasnt on the border then the palestinians would go there and attack Israel. Israel needed Hizballah there. Violating Lebanon's airspace has nothing to do with Hizballah being on the border.

Morris said:
Besides, if Lebanon has no intention of enforcing sovereignty in the south where Hezbollah reigns, how can you even consider Israeli planes flying over the border as violating their airspace?
If someone came in your house and wouldn't leave, then i broke into your house, how can you consider my actions as criminal?

oh you couldnt come up with something to defend your terrorist buddies :(

Morris said:
Hezbollah has members in Lebanon's parliament. But that's actually beside the point. Hezbollah's presence inside of Lebanon is actually a Syrian affront to Lebanon's sovereignty. And if your point is correct, then it's the Lebanese government's job to disarm/disband Hezbollah.

I would love to hear some of your suggestions on exactly what Israel should do about Hezbollah and Hamas firing thousands of rockets into Israel every year. Withdrawing from occupied lands obviously didn't lead to peace. Restraint obviously didn't lead to peace.

At some point, it's incumbent on Israel to defend its citizens. If it has to root out terrorist organizations among densely crowded urban zones to do so, that's not its fault. It's the terrorists who are putting innocent civilians in harm's way.
Who attacked first? Their government is ridiculously nonsensical. How do you put your whole country at risk because of 2 kidnapped soldiers? How many Israeli civilians have been killed thus far? Sometimes you have to weigh your options then make a decision, even if it means having to make sacrifices. But when you make sacrifices you always try to keep your overall losses at a minimum. Israel didn't do that at all. They just attacked because those terrorists have been looking for a reason to attack Lebanon for the longest time. How is that logical?

How can that other master terrorist bush be so concerned over Iraq that he creates a big war over it,but when it comes to Israel he says he cannot tell them how to run their country. BS FUCK Bush and fuck Israel. I wasn't much of a hezballah supporter, but now I gotta root them on to wipe out those Israeli scum.

War!
by Michael J. Totten

I'm sorry to be gone and (mostly) unable to blog at a horrible time like this, when a city I love and used to live in is under attack by an ally of my country. I'm scrambling to keep up with what's going on while trying to do my temporary full-time and all-consuming job, which ends in a week. Meanwhile I try, as much as is possible, to console some of my friends while their country burns, while fighter jets scream over head, while columns of filthy black smoke blot out the sun.

Israel has a right - nay, a moral obligation - to defend itself and rescue the kidnapped. But what kind of down-the-rabbit-hole war is this, where the guilty parties - the Baath regime in Syria and the Jihad regime in Iran - sleep warm in their beds while Beirut, a libertine city they hate, takes the punishment for them?

The dictators in the region have always been happy to fight the Israelis to the last Palestinian. Now it looks like they're happy to fight the Israelis to the last Lebanese, too. And why not? Lebanon is a relatively liberal and almost half Christian sort-of democracy. Can't have any of that in the region if you're a totalitarian mullah. It suits Tehran just fine if the Jews slug it out with such people.

Bashar al-Assad promised to make Lebanon burn if his Syrian occupation soldiers were forced out of the country. No doubt he is ecstatic at this latest turn of events. His principal enemies are killing each other instead of teaming up against him like they would in a better and more intelligent world.

Israel and Lebanon are the two freest countries in the Middle East. They are the only countries, aside from tortured Iraq, that hold unrigged elections for parliaments and heads of state. The tyrants to their east have pulled quite a coup, haven't they? The two countries friendliest to America and to liberal Western values are now shooting each other. (The Lebanese army, which has cooperated with Israel in the past behind the scenes, is now firing anti-aircraft guns at Israeli planes.)

It's a catastrophe for Lebanon, which is now under siege because Iran took it hostage. It's a catastrophe for Israel, which could have, and should have, worked toward a peace process with the Lebanese. Lebanese are (were?) far and away the most likely of all Arabs to sign a genuine treaty at some point down the road. And it's a catastrophe for the United States. We have few friends in the region already, none of whom get along well with each other as it is.

The Middle East was in a holding pattern until two days ago. No one knew what would happen next, what the next big thing would be. Now we know. The democracies suffer and bleed and turn on each other while their enemies, our enemies, sit back and watch. The Baath regime and the Jihad regime rest easy knowing that Israel is too cautious or gutless to take the fight to the source and chooses to hit the country of the Cedar Revolution instead.

I wasn't much of a hezballah supporter, but now I gotta root them on to wipe out those Israeli scum.

Do Something *warning, graphic images*

You should do something about this terrorism caused by Israel's non-humanitarian actions... From illegal chemical weapons used on people to bombing Red Cross ambulances... They are wiping out village after village...We did nothing, I do not wish death to any citizen of any nation. I am against death, and I want peace... so why should you let your governments stand by while we get murdered? For all you foreign nationals, demand that your governments do something about these murders! No more Lebanese civilians should die, no more Israeli citizens should die… demand a cease fire.. we have to stop the beast that is causing this evil…and that beast is hatred and murder… contact your local government, send in emails… STOP THIS madness.

And oh, street-hop mods.. move this to Words of Wisdom, so this thread can go unnoticed and people can carry on their daily activities while more of my people die. Thanks, much love (especially bereal)

If someone came in your house and wouldn't leave, then i broke into your house, how can you consider my actions as criminal?
If someone came into my house and wouldn't leave, and then that someone started attacking the house next door constantly over the course of 6 years, my neighbor would try to evict that person and would obviously blame me for sheltering him, aiding him, and doing nothing about him myself.

If Hizballah wasnt on the border then the palestinians would go there and attack Israel. Israel needed Hizballah there. Violating Lebanon's airspace has nothing to do with Hizballah being on the border.
I'm not sure you could have been more wrong in those 3 sentences, both logically and stating facts. If Lebanon is going to let terrorists occupy its border and attack Israel, then the Lebanese government is indirectly responsible for the terrorism.

How do you put your whole country at risk because of 2 kidnapped soldiers? How many Israeli civilians have been killed thus far? Sometimes you have to weigh your options then make a decision, even if it means having to make sacrifices.
Israel didn't put its whole country at risk by attacking Hezbollah or Hamas. Hezbollah and Hamas have been attacking it daily for years. Israel has already tried restraint and sacrifice. Those only embolden their enemies.

Israel didn't do that at all. They just attacked because those terrorists have been looking for a reason to attack Lebanon for the longest time.
Right. Israel's withdrawal out of Lebanon in 2000 was all part of a master plan to reoccupy and attack Lebanon in 2006...

From illegal chemical weapons used on people to bombing Red Cross ambulances... They are wiping out village after village...
I love how you don't even bother trying to refute my posts, calling them "run arounds," while citing charges that aren't appearing in any news. If Israel was firing on Red Cross ambulances, it would be reported by the Red Cross if nobody else.

i saw the use of phosphoric bombs with my own eyes, and the red cross attack was on TV.. it was crystal clear on Al Manar TV.

just so you know Morris, CNN is not the most neutral of all medias.

one more thing, So far, Hezbollah hasn't targeted any civillians directly.

Hassan Nasrallah was just on TV, he said that since Israel has no problem killing women and children, Hezbollah will from no on show no restraints

Israel murdered UN soldiers and massacred people in Kanaa...also bombing a Red Cross ambulance.. they have already bombed a Red Cross ambulance now during this 5 day conflict and they are bombing any Red Cross ambulances trying to rescue the injured.. so I know this because I AM Red Cross, and I have eyes to watch tv.. please, go to any other channel than CNN and you might get another piece of the truth... anyway, you're obviously ignorant and I refuse to speak to you anymore... The IRRC already knows about this, but they can't do shit.. Israel is an evil empire... anyway, I wouldn't wish death even on a weak minded person like your self. however.. I do hope that your eyes will be open to the truth, though I doubt it.

I hope , I sincerely hope the killings.. on both sides stop, but once again.. here's another thing I doubt.

Israel murdered UN soldiers and massacred people in Kanaa...
Hezbollah fired rockets 300 yards away from the UN compound. Israeli gunners returning fire erroneously hit the UN camp.

Of course, I'm sure you'll just accuse Israel of intentionally shelling the camp, because it makes so much sense to intentionally kill civilians and UN personnel. And nobody will blame Hezbollah for using civilians as human shields, just like they are right now.

The IRRC already knows about this, but they can't do shit..
If I can release a press statement myself, I'm sure the Red Cross could also release a press statement or make it known that their ambulances are being targeted. That would be a headliner if it happened. And yet we hear nothing on the topic except from one know it all on Pacboard.

While I can't find anything about Israel ever bombing Red Cross ambulances, on the other hand I had no trouble finding stories about terrorists using their ambulances to transfer terrorists and explosives. http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=Is...prssweb=Search&ei=UTF-8&fr=FP-tab-web-t&x=wrt

As for not wishing death upon me, how magnanimous of you. I'll sleep much better tonight knowing that.

Let me say this, Israel would never intentionally fire on a non combatant or someone who was no threat to them an never threatened them right Morris? ok two words USS LIBERTY. During the 6 day war Israel intentionally fired on the USS Liberty not once but several times, including sending torpeo boats to fire on the vessal. Israel later claimed it to be a mistake, but through the years many things became uncovered including an Israeli pilot who was envolved in the attack who admitted the attack was on purpose an Israel new full well who the war ship belonged to. My point? Israel has little to no reguard for innocent lives, it will trample over whoever it see's fit. Which puts Israel an Hezabolla in the same damn category as far as im concerned.

My point was that, i'm not childish enough to wish death on somebody because they disagree with my opinions and beliefs... however I would wish for that person to see the truth and you obviously are blinded by your beliefs...and that's fine, in a sense.. we all might be.. anyway, i'm glad you'll sleep good tonight.. because the thousands of people (Israeli non-combatants aswell) won't be sleeping so good tonight. But for real, I just had to comment on your miscommuincation with me.. other than that, you have proved to me atleast... you are ignorant.. and that's enough for me, to sleep well :)

I never thought I'd see something as ironic as a person calling CNN biased while linking us to stories from Al-Manar TV, which is run by Hezbollah. That's amusing.
if you think that destroying red cross van is amusing... no need to continue this conversation.

so you think Manar staged a live broadcast of a red cross van being bombed by an israeli war plane... you must be a real moron then.

not to Mention that I DID NOT LINK YOU TO ANY MANAR STORY, but it appears you're too stupid to notice that, all i had to do was to mention manar and you just throw ignorant comments.

keep telling yourself that, if it makes you sleep better at night to know that the 6th strongest army in the world have such lousy accuracy, or that it can't tell the difference between the UN and Hezbollah.
