These scenarios;

1.If Pool ends 4th and wins the CL, they don't have to qualify
2.If pool ends 4th and doesn't win the CL, they must qualify
3.If Pool ends 5th or 6th but win the CL, they'll get automatically qualified for CL, BUT the team that finished 4th will lose it's CL place.

I'm pretty positive about number 2 and 3 but little uncertain about number 1 but I still think it's that way cause the basic rule says that the winner of CL gets an automatic place for CL next season.
thank you :)

Look, this is the latest:

"Four spots is the maximum amount a country can get, only Germany, Spain and Italy get the same number and therefore there cannot be any fifth participant from England, like there couldn't be one from Italy, Germany or Spain," Gaillard told Sky Sports News.

"Therefore Liverpool, in order to qualify for next year's Champions League, have to finish in the first four spots of the English Premier League.

"Of course there is also in the rules a clause that says that if the national association, in this case the English FA, would like to replace the fourth placed team by the winner of the Champions League of the previous year it can ask Uefa to do so.

Chelsea spent 200 million in 2 seasons, bought top international players, they bought their success, simple as, Chelsea will never be respected as much as they would want to, and hey now Chelsea have lost in the Semi final, expect a few more multi million signings until Chelsea make the league a 1 horse race, ah yes football is onto a winner here :thumb:

Cole only plays because Robben in Injury prone.

Liverpool played to their strengths, and that was to defend.

Top of Seria A
Juventus
AC Milan
Joint on points, Liverpool defeated Juventus, they can do the same to AC Milan. Not saying they will though, but it will not be a walkover.

How many players did Chelsea buy since money bags arrived?
Kezman
Drogba
Carvalho
Cech
Duff
Robben
Sulliven
Makelele
Johnson
Bridge
Ferreira
Mutu
Crespo
Cole
Geremi
Tiago

Have i missed anyone out? right now thats 16 players in 2 seasons, so stop the bullshit, Chelsea bought the league.
Who said football was onto a winner? And the league was a 1 horse race last year. A 2 horse race for the couple of years preceding that. If Arsenal couldn't maintain great form, Man Utd failed to do the same, Newcastle & Liverpool were shit.....how can this be Chelsea's fault?

Does Col play or not? Good.

I never said Liverpool didn't play to their strengths.....

'Serie A'.....& yes, I fully expect Liverpool to be trounced - providing they don't score first.

16 players in 2 seasons? And.....? You missed out Veron btw.

I can't think of the last team who didn't 'buy' the league. Maybe they didn't do it in such a short space of time & with so much money, but they bought it nonetheless. Take Manchester United's treble-winning side. Sure, they didn't pay big transfer fees for the guys who came through the youth ranks (although there may have been a fee involved at some point) but they had to invest heavily in youth development.....

Ahh ok, I guess it's up to the English FA to decide, cause I recall 99 (not quite sure) Real Madrid ended 5th while they won CL, next year they got to play CL but the team that ended 4th lost it. So it must be what ever the FA of a country decides

Who do you think deserves the spot? I think Liverpool deserve to win, but taking it away from Everton kinda ruins the season of all the teams aiming for 4th. 4th place is the only real goal for teams outside the top three.

And if Liverpool did win and went through, Everton would have to get a UEFA Cup spot, taking it away from whoever finishes 8th.

Honetsly I would say Everton. CL is much about luck and coincedence etc etc while the league is imo harder. For instance, if "luck" was not on Pools side they could've played Real Madrid or Barca or Milan and probably get kicked out. Not because they're better then Pool but cause maybe Barca doesn't suit Pool, thus it would've been easier for them to take advantage of Pools gameplay.

While for instance Everton, had to face every team twice with no ifs or buts. So imo the 4th team should really get the spot. But it'd still be quite wierd if the upcoming CL season don't have the CL-winner.

Serie A or Seria A, im sorry didn't know this was English class.

17 players in 2 seasons, about 15 of them are international players, and that is the point. Thus meaning pretty much buying the league. Did you miss it the first time?

Spending 200 million in a short amount of time is buying the league, face it.

It was a 1 horse race again, and will be another 1 horse race again next season.

Man Utd had how many youth players in their team, how many do Chelsea have? The Youth has no chance at Chelsea, a top international player for millions will be bought instead i.e Joaquim.

Also wasn't their a point in the season where Man Utd would have been top in any other season, barring this one?

I dont see that as poor form by Utd, they started showing poor form as soon as they realised the title was out of reach, they went unbeaten for a long amount of time before losing to Norwich.

Bottom line: Chelsea bought the league :thumb:

Look, Chelsea has enough $$$, but everyone who played football themself will know just as good as I that you can not buy a team. You can buy 22 topplayers, but molding them into a team still takes effort. Saying Chelsea bought the league is bullshit and the talk of disgruntled anti-Chelsea'ists. You dont buy teams, you make em.

Mourinho did that, though. Gotta give him credit for it.

It's ok, it's free of charge.

Again, name me the successful English team who hasn't bought the majority of their players?

Buying the league? No more than anyone else. The figure may be different, but the principle is the same. If, however, you took exception to 200 million being spent, then that would be a different matter.....

So who's fault was it last season? The 1 horse race?

'Joaquin'......John Terry came from our youth. Cole's a young Englishman as is Johnson. Robben is only 21 etc, etc. Like I say, Man U put their money into youth development, we put it into developed youth.....

I'm not sure about the Man U being top thing.

United were shit for a sizeable period of time.

Chelsea bought the league, like Arsenal, Man U, Blackburn previously.

Blackburn - yes.

Man Utd - Not always, when the prem first started they certainly didn't. But Man Utd have made their money from being a traditionally massive club with a global fan base. Not because some rich Russian needed a 'hobby'.

Arsenal - Fuck no. Since the prem was formed they are 6th in the total spending list behind, in order: Chelsea, Man Utd, Newcastle, Liverpool, Tottenham.

Side point: Chelsea have shot to the top of that list in the last two years, football is dying because of this. The sooner a salary cap and a signing budget is brought in the better. Not to the same extent as some American sports, but something has to be done.

Pretty much. They hav the potential to dominate European football for as long as Abramovich keeps bankrolling them. Think the SPL, but only one team winning, not two. Not much fun is it? Unless of course you're a Chelsea fan, which undoubtedly every young kid in Britain will be before long. :(

It doesnt take a genuis to realise that Robben played amaizng in Euro 2004, or that Drogba was the most talked about new strkier last season in Europe, or that Kezman scored 1 every game for PSV or that Carvlaho and Ferrier were quality defenders for Porto and won the CL.

I'm not sure about the Man U being top thing.

United were shit for a sizeable period of time
This was talked about on SKY Sports News.

Spending 200 million is more than anyone else. Jeez it doesn't take a Jose Mourinho to figure that out.
