A player doesn't HAVE to play in CL/PL/Serie A/LA Liga/Bundesliga in order to be called a worldclass. If Tevez isn't worldclass then I don't know who is.
And I agree that you don't need to play in the bigger competitions to be called worldclass, but to actually be it, you do. Look at Saviola, he was Tevez a few years back but came to Spain & couldn't cut it. Now, he might have the talent to be called worldclass, but when he can't successfully compete (& beyond) at the highest level, then he can't actually be worldclass.
I reserve my judgement on Tevez. I saw him play for Boca like 3 times, a few more times for Argentina & I've never saw him play since he went to Corinthians.

It was just an example to show you that keeping Tevez (or insert players name here) from their cometitor makes it a "easier" ride for Romans team.

Smertin? You probably know that Roman is a football fan and was always following the games and thus he can alot about players and if my memory don't fail me I remember that in his first year Roman made an offer for Nesta,Raul! Of course he doesn't know who's the next big thing in South America but that's why he "sponsors" Corinthians. They can buy any player they want cause it can only benefit Roman. If that player is a hot prospect that would mean that if Chelsea then wants him they'll get him, in worst case scenario they keep him away from other teams, which might even ruin his career but that's another thing to discuss.
One thing straight; Roman doesn't bother me at all. Especially since he can't "damage" my team and we're not even competitors to him or so which means we don't have to worry about Chelsea, they can buy all Milanplayers they want for all I care. And quite frankly I'm a bit happy with Roman, cause he gives back to teams like Real Madrid/Milan/Man utd and others with their own medicine. Power and respect -the way to gain and buy titles so it's only fair
