This isn't really about the Premier, but... I can't believe Utaka is still with Pompey - what were his wages at? 50 000/week? Ridiculous... It probably was lowered substantially (hopefully), but I'm still surprised he's still there.

I think that the season before was mainly due to the players we had and their form, not as much for Rafa...

Chelsea were awful today, though City played well defensively. Strange move taking Drogba off.

Funny how football changes in a week or so. Last week Chelsea were "untouchable". This week it will be about Man City clicking.

Where in reality they are still as good as they were last week.

De Jong was awesome in midfield, that guy just smashes players out the way, even Essien!

I read Chelsea were horrible offensively. Anelka doing his own thing and the participation of Malouda and Drogba were "only noticeable on the match forms" (lol..).

It was a horrible game really. Both teams were very cautious. Man City played with like 3 DM's.

he is imo. he is a good player. works hard and is good on the ball and can create. the problem at Stoke was that Delap was favoured in the right midfield position because of his long throws but Lawrence is a much better player. the fact that Lawrence is a starter for Ireland and Delap cant even make the squad says it all.

yea he needed to leave Stoke but surely there were better teams interested. i think Celtic were in the summer.

Poulsen got some criticism today from Liverpool fans. Everytime I've seen him play for Liverpool he looks slow and off the pace.
