11/12 Premier League thread

I am not saying he's a good player, I am still undecided.. Had a solid game first half though.

Hating the way United have lined up. Poor shape, no cohesion. 3 CF's in a 4-4-2. Means none of them are getting any chances. Struggling to operate together. Where is Park playing? Had a few good touches... But...

Most of the time it's Hernandez and Park up front and Owen and Macheda on the wings.... I'd rather have seen Obertan and Bebe start in a more traditional 4-4-2 with Owen and Hernandez starting.

Man Utd did well, only had about 7 shots, scored 5. Nice. Bebe as little of the ball he had looked bright, he likes to take on players and looks quick.

Lol..Liverpool. What the fuck. I saw Jan Molby saying how this is the legacy Rafa has left..What the fuck?

Newcastle beat Chelsea, lets not forget this result either.

yea i heard that. i like Molby but thats a shit comment to make.

its as if everything Rafa achieved at liverpool has been edited out. totally dismissed. he was just this idiot that didnt get Liverpool to the champions league last season. they ignore that he guided Liverpool to winning the competition. go them to the semis 4 years in a row and another final. Won an fa cup and was in charge of Liverpool's best league performance in about 20 years. yea he made mistakes.

look at Liverpool now. a month gone and we are 16th in the league and out of the league cup. the Rafa out brigade are looking a bit stupid now i think.

I honestly agree with Molby. Rafa was clueless and has set Liverpool back 10 years. Houlier was the man. He brought Liverpool into the current. He was very forward thinking...

We all knew Hodgson wasn't the man for Liverpool. But who was? After the damage done by Rafa and the Americans there wasn't many managers willing to take the job. Hodgson was the only choice. Rafa got lucky with Reina and Torres, and the players he inherited.... All the other players he brought in were awful... He has a large ego and a poor attitude. I hate him. I like Roy, and feel sorry for him, he clearly isn't up to the job. It also doesn't help that Liverpool's fans think they should be challenging... Yet the first 11 isn't even as good as Spurs or City's or possibly even Villa's.... The squad is even worse.

really? set us back 10 years? what kind of bullshit statement is that in all fairness? have you forgotten that we reached the Champions league knock out stages every season he was manager bar the final season? we won it once. got to another final, and the semi finals 4 times. now before he took over tell me how many times in the previous 20 years we even reached the champions league? the answer is one. so if we managed to get to that competition once in about 20 years and after Rafa took over we started to make it every season, how did he set us back ten years? explain that to me. 10 years from what exactly? you have been watching too much Sly Sports i think, who have waged a campaign to tarnish the man and make dirt of him ever since he took on Ferguson.

Houllier was far more negative than Rafa. yea we won the 5 trophies one season but the last season under Houllier were just awful. Those comments by Houllier recently where he said 2005 Istanbul was down to him were just pathetic. really bitter comments.

there were plenty of other candidates actually. for example Pellegrini.

got lucky with Torres and Reina. why is that? Reina was a promising keeper at Villareal and had a fine season the year before Liverpool signed him. Torres always had serious potential.

what about the likes of Alonso, Mascherano, Garcia, Benayoun?

why do you hate him? i really cant understand the hate people have for the man. you'd swear he killed someone. the reality though is that Benitez is a very nice man off the field.

thats not true. Not many Liverpool fans think we should be challenging for the league this season but we expect a damn bit better than 16th in the league and being knocked out of a cup in the firts month. Roy should be given time but its not good so far.

^especially Alonso. One of the most talented players to have played for Liverpool ever.

I don't care about the cup honestly. Yes it's awful that Liverpool are out, but the only thing that I want from this season is to see the team rebuilt. I expect Top 4 status next year, not this one. I can be patient for Roy to make the Top 4... I was patient enough to wait for Rafa to leave.

As for Rafa, I think that he was awesome for the first few years, but the last 2 were just bad.

The same Alonso that he tried to get rid of and replace with Barry?

That's my point proven.

I'm not gonna argue. This is the problem with scousers. Shit in their eyes. Can't see your expectations far outweigh your talent....

Rafa was a fat useless cunt. Give it 4 years and Inter will be back to mediocrity after he ruins Jose's team.

Yea Alonso who was extremely poor during the 07/08 season. he started to perform at his best after that G Barry saga which suggests to me that it was a big kick up the arse for him that he needed. Fact is Alonso would have still wanted to join Real Madrid regardless of Rafa trying to get Barry in the season before.

go on RAWK and read the supporters expectations. there arent many apart from the clueless deluded ones that expect Liverpool to challenge for the league this season. they do, however, expect 4th place which is reasonable.

really? 2 la liga titles. fyi Real Madrid and Barcelona have won la liga every season since 1985 apart from 4 years. those were 1996 when Atletico Madrid won it. 2000 when Deportivo won and in 2002 and 2004 Valencia won it. you know who was Valencia's manager for both those triumphs? Rafa Benitez. some achievement when you think about it and consider it was the era of the galacticos and in 2002 they managed to beat that excellent Real Madrid team to win it. add to that the UEFA Cup he won with them. Then there was his achievement of guiding a Liverpool team to victory against all odds in 2005 and turning us into a real force in that competition again. alot of that was down to his tactical ability.

so im afraid a manager that has managed to achieve all that is not a useless cunt.

wont be the first time he ruined Jose's team then ;)

go and watch sly sports news. im sure Jamie Redknapp or Paul Merson will be on to give their "expert" view on the subject.

No fucking chance. If you should have you would have. Typical scouser. (obviously you're not, but you are a Liverpool fan - so scouser to me.)

get Ferguson's balls out of your mouth.

all you fans of smaller english clubs are all the same. constantly licking the arse of Man Yoo and Ferguson.

no im not a scouser obviously.

I agree with Bobby. Rafa worked wonders for Liverpool, Winning the CL, being in another final. Semi finals. He did well. In fairness last season it seemed he gave up in a sense and maybe was there for too long.

I don't listen to Redknapp or Merson....

And you really need to remove Rafa's dick from your mouth. You are blinded.

Why are Ferguson's balls in my mouth? You can't say we should have won it. You didn't. fact. Now stop being such a baby.

As for Rawk... And expectations....

4th isn't realistic.... Nor were last seasons aspirations.... Which was the championship....

I don't think I can really discuss this topic any more... It frustrates me... So now I am out... ! Rafa is obviously a better manager than me.... I just think he is the root cause behind Liverpool's current failures...

FYI i have been critical of Rafa Benitez numerous times. but i acknowledge the good things he did at Liverpool and his achievements as a manager. if you want to say he is a useless manager then you are talking absolute shite. pointing that out doesnt make me a dickrider or whatever you said.

you on the other hand continuously post about Ferguson and Man Utd even you dont support them. Fergie this, Man Yoo that.

well thats my opinion.

let me see, 2008/2009 we finished second and beat Chelsea twice, Man Utd twice and drew with Arsenal twice. perhaps thats why expectations were high the following season? you dont 4th place is realistic then?because Spurs and City are that good right?

yea because you were wrong.

Okay....

How about I say here now that both Spurs and City will finish higher than Liverpool this season.... And that neither City or Spurs will finish 4th.

You think Liverpool can top both Spurs and City?

Edit - Deleted my defence about "my love for Man yoo"... As I don't really care.
