Off the court, I really admire what some NBA players are doing for the Haiti situation.
Back to the court, I think its great that Shannon Brown is going to be in the Slam Dunk contest. He has a lot of hype to live up to so, its going to be tough for him without a doubt. While on the slam dunk contest, do any of you cringe when you remember Chris Andersen's performance at the 2005 event?
Nice for the Griz to put on such a run. Guess who isn't part of the team while they accomplish that?? As for Marbury, he's a smart business mind without a doubt. If Bonzi Wells could average 50ppg in the Chinese league..........
Marbury will expand his shoe market there and, it will be a personal success for him in the end. His shoes are really cheap as well, don't cost an arm and a leg as one of you mentioned.
I also read an article on Ray Allen saying fans should have a lesser role in the All Star game selection. I think he particularly called out T-mac and The Answer appearances on the All Star team as reason's why. Don't know who got him making those comments.
It's time for the Grammy road trip for the Lakers already? An 8 game road trip that includes games vs the Cavaliers and the Celtics. Always gives a good idea of how good the Lakers are when its over.

^i disagree with ray allen. let the fans have the right for starting 5 only (which is basically a popularity contest). maybe the nba should put a rule in like you have to play a certain amount of games to be in the all star game.
yea, nba and its players are great when it comes to charity. they did a great job during katrina. im sure other athletes helped from other sports but i always kept hearing about the nba players donating and rebuilding.

i'm watching the hoyas end the second-longest home winning streak in d1 and flipping back to the wiz/mavs game occasionally and really do not understand what the fuck is going on. every time i switch to comcast the wizards are doing something horrible play but it's still a very close game. case in point: down 1, earl boykins just dribbled for 24 seconds, then failed to get a shot off. the mavs threw a long inbounds pass (only 2 seconds left in the quarter) to dirk. as dirk was moving away from the basket, andray blatche fouled him and dirk hit both free throws to end the quarter. what the fuck?
^man, i dont know whats going on with them. theyve been slippin since they beat the lakers. its like they play when they wanna , which is never good (remember the pistons). RJ still hasnt found his role. manu has never been so inconsistent. parker is playing injured. only postives my squad got is duncan still has the ability to play at a high level, blair is a monster, and george hill improved his game.
