^Usually to me repertoire means more than one whatever in a common set, sort of makes sense I suppose. Bron needs more than one move while he dunks in order to have a repertoire. All I'm tyring to say is that bringing the ball back far and jumping high is not going to win you a dunk contest. Yak pac had a good comment about bron and his creativity

I get your point. How about Vince, has he got (or had) a repertoire?

Khloe Kardashian thinks she should get all the perks plus some as an NBA Laker wife, how long will it be before Lamar puts his foot down?

Two months into their marriage and Khloe is already starting trouble among the other wives of the Los Angeles Lakers players. It has been said that Khloe Kardashian may already be the outcast because of her loud, obnoxious behavior, plus, she thinks she’s entitled to the extra stuff that comes along with being Lamar Odom’s wife like front row seats, not just for her but her whole family. Well is she?!

Apparently Khloe thinks she’s helping out the team by attracting publicity like the time when she and Kobe’s wife Vanessa Laine got into a verbal bout, when Mrs. Bryant and their kids were being escorted out of the game by bodyguards. “Why don’t I have bodyguards? I’m more famous than her,” Khloe said resulting in an argument between the two wives.

Hmmmm, the life of a Laker wife?
it has begun

Yak, what happened to the Spurs this season? I thought they were to supposed to be up there with the elites. I think San Antonio and Phoenix traded places haha.
dont judge them lol. theyre on 4 game winning streak. suns wont win the playoffs. spurs are a 2nd half season:). dont forget manu is injured and parker/duncan were out 2 or 3 games. RJ STEP THE FUCK UP!

wow, the grizz freaked iverson. they signed tinsley after waiving iverson and tinsley is playing more that conley. they said they didnt want to ruin the team chemistry/potential of their players but this is some bullshit. they blew like a 25pt lead to the clippers and only scored 7pts in the 4th, i think thats gotta be a record in the shot clock era... shit, teams score more in OT than that.

spurs 5 game winning streak, keep it going.

LOS ANGELES (AP)—Clippers play-by-play man Ralph Lawler and color analyst Michael Smith met with Grizzlies center Hamed Haddadi(notes) before Sunday’s game at Staples Center, where they expressed regret for an incident that earned the TV broadcasters a one-game suspension.

It was the first meeting between the teams since Lawler’s and Smith’s off-the-cuff remarks about the Iranian-born center during the final minutes of the Clippers’ 106-91 loss at Memphis on Nov. 18. One offended viewer sent an e-mail to the Fox Sports Prime Ticket network.

“It went really well,” Lawler told the Associated Press, about an hour before tipoff. “It was really good to get a chance to shake his hand and look him in the eye. We reached out to him, he reached back, and I feel real good about it.”

Before Lawler and Smith spoke with Haddadi in the Grizzlies’ dressing room, they had a conversation with his agent and three representatives of the Alliance of Iranian Americans in another room that coach Mike Dunleavy uses for his postgame press conferences.

“He doesn’t speak a whole lot of English, so we had his manager translate for us,” Lawler added. “He basically indicated that he’s seen a number of our shows and thought that some people kind of took what we said out of context. He understood there were no ill intentions and understood our humor.”

By sheer coincidence, Sunday was Iranian Heritage day.

“I think it’s very fitting,” Lawler said. “He said he’s got a gift for us that the manager was going to bring to us later, just as a token of the good will that exists. So I couldn’t be more pleased. I’m glad to finally put it behind us.”

Last Monday, when he and Smith returned to the microphones, Lawler spoke at the top of the broadcast about how much the duo regretted the remarks and the firestorm it created.

“He’s totally aware,” Lawler said of Haddadi. “He had read the transcript, he had seen the video and was perfectly fine with it.”

The transcript of the conversation between Lawler and Smith, which occurred late in the Grizzlies game, was printed on the Los Angeles Times’ Web site:

Smith: “Look who’s in.”

Lawler: “Hamed Haddadi. Where’s he from?”

Smith: “He’s the first Iranian to play in the NBA.” (Smith pronounced Iranian as “Eye-ranian,” a pronunciation that offended a viewer who complained.)

Lawler: “There aren’t any Iranian players in the NBA,” repeating Smith’s mispronunciation.

Smith: “He’s the only one.”

Lawler: “He’s from Iran?”

Smith: “I guess so.”

Lawler: “That Iran?”

Smith: “Yes.”

Lawler: “The real Iran?”

Smith: “Yes.”

Lawler: “Wow. Haddadi that’s H-A-D-D-A-D-I.”

Smith: “You’re sure it’s not Borat’s older brother?”

Smith: “If they ever make a movie about Haddadi, I’m going to get Sacha Baron Cohen to play the part.”

Lawler: “Here’s Haddadi. Nice little back-door pass. I guess those Iranians can pass the ball.”

Smith: “Especially the post players.

Lawler: “I don’t know about their guards.”
Lmao, that's fucked up.

^^I read that story of the two commentators (if that's what you call them your part of the world). I would have liked to hear the audio of it. There needs to be a limit as to what can be said on air. I mean just making such comments is uncalled for during a game, regardless on how the PR people made the story turn out. Ho-hum, its not worse than saying Tiger should be lynched in a back alley............his wife seems pretty good at swinging golf clubs and smashing rear windows anyway :D

Heaven sent!! How did this block not make it on here??

Even the cheerleaders had to show some genuine love for that play :D I was glad the Lakers didn't slip up with the Nets. Hey, s!@t happens right? That would have been one victory Nets fans would never have forgotten. I saw this comment posted on forum blue and gold. It made sense to me

Part of me is sad to see Frank get fired. Not that it isn’t warranted, at 0-16 something needs to be done. But Frank is not another former player given a chance to start as an assistant in a good place because a former coach liked him. Frank started basically shagging balls at coaches clinics. He woked hard and absorbed what he heard. There was no old boys network to help him out, he earned his way up the ladder, all the way to the NBA. Before the Nets stripped their roster for 2010, he had them in the playoffs four straight years. The NBA needs more guys like him.
That's like firing the captain of the Titanic when he's already gone down with the ship.

damn lol they were getting at haddadi

im not a fan of farmar lol never will be

frank sucked as a coach. i blame jason kidd for this. he was intentionally losing games to get scott fired, only the nets management would fire someone who took them to the finals twice. i dont see him getting another head coaching job in the nba again.

I think i'd like to see him return to Philly just 'cause that's where he started, and i think that's where he should finish. Even if he doesn't win a championship, he should show he can still play and be a threat out there on the court.

lol, Amare is gonna beat up Manu next time they play.

From Jalopnik, via blog cousin Deadspin, comes this amusing photo of Nuggets center Chris Andersen's(notes) pimped out ride. Seriously. All it's missing are some custom painted flames ... and a cup holder.

According to people that know about brake pads and oil checks and other car related things, The Birdman's ride is a 6.5-ton SportChassis P4XL — one of the largest SUVs on the planet. So, while the gas mileage may not be great, it's nice to see someone is getting ready for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

Good plannin', Chris.
My god.

PHILADELPHIA (AP)—Allen Iverson(notes) and the Philadelphia 76ers are closer to a reunion.

A person with knowledge of the contract talks says the Sixers offered a one-year, non-guaranteed contract to Iverson on Tuesday. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the contract talks had not been made public.
AI back to Philly.
