Dream a Little Dream was a pretty good movie..its one of my favs....now I know why everyone liked both Corey (Feldman and Haim)..the only thing i would criticize is the sloppy video editing between some of the scenes...or maybe thats just cuz the copy i downloaded might've been messed up...anyway..whats ur fav 80's movie?

80's movie? Can this post be an essay? Ha, well, I don't want to take everyone's favorite so I'll give out some simple starters.

Where to begin, where to begin....

Die Hard - a cop trapped in a skyscraper, fighting against terrorists -- Bloody Brilliant! Favorite Scene - when McClane kills the blondy and sends his body down in the elevator with bloody HO HO HO on his shirt. The bad guys get pissed! Go McClane!! This movie had the first on-screen tits I saw. It was brief, but it sparked something in young salty's mind and pants. I was 6 or 7 at the time.

The Goonies - Treasure hunting adventure with Spielberg at the helm. Bloody Brilliant!! Favorite Scene - The whole fucking movie, man! The jailbreak car chase? The at home, warm yet sad and hopeless with impending excitement inside the Walsh's residents. (Who didn't attempt to make a rube goldberg in their yard after seeing this movie?) - aside from that, we have the cute Kerri Green in a cheerleader uniform. Chunk's comedy. Francis Fratelli's wig. I'm gonna say it twice - Bloody Brilliant!!

Speaking of Spielberg ;

Raiders of the Lost Ark
E.T.
The Color Purple
The Last Crusade
Empire of the Sun (the young Christian Bale is brilliant)
(Produced)
Back to the Future
Roger Rabbit
Batteries Not Included
Gremlins
Poltergeist

You're not serious when you say Steven Spielberg is overrated.

lol, it wasn't.

There are so many, the 80's horror movies, the Friday the 13th's, Nightmare on Elm Streets, ect.

The Breakfast Club is a movie I really love alot.

RoboCop was the first R rated movie I ever saw (I picked a good one)

The Thing (a fucking masterpiece)

Blade Runner (masterpiece)

Die Hard is the best action movie ever made.

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, sooooooooo 80's.

Raiders of The Lost Ark is one of my favorite movies ever.

Back To The Future is so great.

You get the point, there's a lot and I can't name just one.

The Monster Squad
Robocop
The Terminator
Ghostbusters
Heathers (this movie is so 80's it's ridiculous lol)
Batman

Purple Rain Casey? really? i mean i'm not surprised at all that that is your pick, but that's the only 80's movie you can think of as your favorite? crazy.

Nuovo Cinema Paradiso is #1. Honorable mentions are Raging Bull, Full Metal Jacket, Scarface, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I don't really dig the 80s corny teen-comedy movies that judging by Rahim's posts in this forum, he jerks off to. But, I liked Ferris Bueller though.

Purple Rain is the absolute definition of 80's. The look, the sound, the clothes. It was all there. I just love it.

I have a few other 80's favorites that I'll post tomorrow.

did you come up with that all by yourself?

But, I liked Ferris Bueller though.
yup great movie

see this was why the 80's was the best decade to date. The music, the films, shame about the clothes.
yeah i luv the 80's..even though i was born in 87 and didn't acctually "live" and experience the 80's, when i think about the 80's - it seems comfortable to me....living in the 80's made skipping school look even more fun....(which i'm glad i did all through highschool)...but things like going out in the 80's, just hanging out in the 80's just living in the 80's..and the girls in the 80's......that whole time frame seems amazing to me ..i wonder what it would've been like if i lived in the 80's..90's were great too tho...i liked the 90's alot

I love Moonwalker too, TheCat. It kicks ass, when I was a kid I would literally watch it every day. I asked my dad to buy me the VHS when I was 3 years old and from then on I was an MJ fanatic.

70's had better films
How about we gather up all the movies mentioned here, find comparable classics of the 70s like Apocalypse vs. Full Metal and create The Ultimate Battle of the Decades: Movie Edition thread? I mean, we don't have anything better to do, right?

Should it be me, or you?

thats a good idea. but i have a feeling 70s may win this, because 70s made CLASSICs and the 80s made great movies that we love because we grew up with it.
