i think so.. its got some nice cuts on there. you gotta laugh at the track with Busta Rhymes thou.. fried chicken.
Anybody else a little dissapointed, i mean its better than his last few previous efforts, but still weighed down with filler tracks like Breathe and You Cant Stop Us Now, even Make The World Go Round isnt that great, a pretty boring beat by Cool & Dre.
Its gets better from half way to the end but definitely no classic. Terrible, terrible hook on Hero too. You might as well not have had Keri Hilson on it to be honest if her appearance is pretty non-existent.

I've said it MANY times. The problem with listeners is they expect too much. You can't keep expecting Nas to make a classic album. Cause what's gonna happen? He won't, then you feel let down and disappointed when the album probably IS good. Come on now.
After the first listen, I like it. It's not a bad album. The song with Game I wanted to hear the most, but I don't like the hook. Shit just doesn't sound good to me. I didn't wanna hear all the Nas racial shit and I thought it was a stupid thing to begin with. But the album is good. There's some dope songs on it.
The album's pretty good, and I agree with what Linx said. Stop expecting another Illmatic, cause it's not gonna happen, ever.
This album will take a minimum of a week to digest it all. So far I love this album. Anyone who calls You Can't Stop Us Now a filler track is an idiot. Matter of fact, anyone who says this album has filler anything is an idiot. Each track has it's purpose, this album is focused. The album is special.
i like it so far, although i havent played it that loud, since its nighttime and everyones sleepin.

Your method of argument is fantastic. Im an idiot because i think its a filler song? Just because a song aims to have a purpose, dosent mean i cant think its a poor track. Does that mean every political track is good?? I think the beat isnt all that and the hook is ok but i think its one of the weaker tracks on the album.

Ok. You dont call a track you think is poor a filler track. I dont know how you see it but to me a filler track is a track put on the album to fill space, obviously. It doesn't coincide with the rest of the album, it's just there. That's how I see it. Now do you see why I think you're an idiot for calling any track on this a filler track.

I think its a boring track that if taken away wouldnt have decreased the albums quality, thats what I mean by a filler track. It's a good album but Nas hasn't exactly been free of plenty of filler tracks in his time. The song is filler to me, dosen't mean i'm an idiot.
Ok only listened to it once. Ive said before I'm bored of Nas, and well so far it hasnt changed...although I will give it a few more listens.
New version of "n.i.g.g.e.r (slave & master)" is incredible. This was the first song I heard off the album and its still my favorite.
