I hope Villareal win La Liga. They beat Atletico 3-0 last night and are up to second now.Who would have thought that when Real Madrid thrashed them 5-0 earlier in the season.

I hope AC Milan make the Champions League...Although Fiorentina could surprise some people.
The way it looks they might not.

What was Pirlo thinking missing that penalty today that would've tie the game against Atalanta.

He's more important than Ronaldo? Ronaldo has been a match winner for far more games than Rooney for some time now, I'm not saying Rooney isn't good but he's not a more important player than Ronaldo to Man United at the moment.
They both great. (though I prefer Rooney over Ronaldo for personal reasons - Ronaldo is a prick!!.) But they are both great and its just unfortunate that Rooney is being overshadowed by Ronaldo. I'm pretty sure Rooney would be just as great as Ronaldo, play just as great and score just as much if Ronaldo wasn't there. Since there are two stars in the same team one of them feel the need to show he is better and has more value than other.

Germany rocked, thats all that matters.

EURO, we are ready.
Good one.

Maybe because Barca aint Barca anymore without Ronaldinho and Messi.

I can even see Schalke beating Barca in the first game next week.lol
Either that or Barca are now too predictable.

a 442 formation could work instead

Valdes

Zambrotta Puyol Militio Abidal

Messi Xavi Toure Iniesta

Eto'o Henry/Bojan

That could work..

AC Milan suck also...Its funny they have to hope that 2 18 year olds can do the business for them each week.

^^Iniesta and Messi are not wingers so that would not work. And what about Ronaldinho?

It seems that every team that goes to the San Siro these days can expect to get a result.Milan need to rebuild next season. Their team is too old. Andrea Pirlo is playing shockingly bad at the moment. It must be worrying for Italy coming up to Euro 08. They need him at his best.

Udinese beat Fiorentina 3-1 today and Sampdoria beat Empoli 2-0 so it looks like its between Fiorentina, Udinese, AC Milan and Sampdoria for the last Champs League spot.

Real Madrid are 3-1 up against Sevilla.

Apparantly Liverpool have already made 3 signings. Two of them are youngsters but the other is an established player. It is rumoured that it is Rafinha of Schalke 04.

Messi isnt a winger? Then what is he? a second striker...? Iniesta although not technically a winger has played and performed well there for Spain and Barcelona. Ronaldinho? Barca need him on form..hes totally out of form so he wouldn't get in the team right now.

Messi plays on the right side of a 3 man forward line. He plays behind the front man. If he was a winger he would be playing a bit deeper and would need to defend more.He is also left footed so if he was to play as winger then it would probably be on the left. I think Iniesta is more suited to the centre. Barcelona won 2 la liga's and a Eurpean cup with that 4-3-3 formation. It does leave their defense vulnerable especially now since their attack is not as strong, with Messi injured and Ronaldinho not playing. These players have won alot as well. THey have become complacent and in some cases lost their hunger (Ronaldinho especially). Thats why i think it is time for a few of them to move on to a new challenge.

Aye, however Messi does actually defend more than people think..many times ive seen him running back. For Argentina he plays upfront strangely..

Yes they won everything with the 433..howver this is why they are now so predictable, teams just sit back and pack the midfield exposing their lack of defensive cover. Edmilsons age/form has been a problem they havent really covered that up.

Shhh, lets keep that on the low-down ;)

Also, another big win for Newcastle. Owen - Viduka - Martins up front are goal machines.
