Looks like Torres is going to miss the Everton game because he picked up yet another injury while playing for Spain. Materazzi was tackling him very hard.Why doesnt Benitez tell the Spanish manager that Torres in injured like Alex Ferguson always. It's pointless playing Rooney as a lone striker. That's not what he does. Even if you can get him to stay up front instead of tracking back, his finishing has been woeful of late. And it's never been that good anyway.

Rooney should be played as a deep lying forward with someone like Defoe or Owen playing ahead of him as an out and out striker.
