Well, I find them both to be really entertaining. It's very fast paced, compared to other sports I like, and while scoring is more frequent in basketball than in hockey, they're both still equally exciting.

I guess that's just sports, in general. You have to look at each sport through a different lens with different expectations on frequency of excitement and also the overall magnitude. Most sports have the same amount of excitement. It's just do you want them in bursts, or do you want the action to be continuous, that if you blink, you could miss it. Which has happened to me in hockey and basketball many times. Baseball....eh... a go ahead solo shot is exciting, but with the bases loaded, you can pretty much flip a coin if it's a whiff or a grand slam or something in between. Same with football. You can watch even the longest of plays develop, but it's not like that in hockey or basketball.

And this year's finals have been incredible. Ultimately even tho both have been recent champs, I think Chicago has a better team than Boston and would have been VERY disappointed if they would have lost game 4. I'm also rooting for them cause as a Habs fan I hate the Bruins but that's another story. Hopefully game 6 will be the end of the Bruins.

Yeah, fuck the Bruins. Bunch of goons. I'm a jets fan, but a couple people I grew up with play for the Hawks so they're sorta my go to team come playoff time.

I have to say, hockey has nothing on basketball, nothing.

both sports are great. but the reasons for why we prefer one sport over another have less to do with excitement and magnitude and more with what our families watched/played, our friends growing up, popularity of the sport in our surroundings, the climate, our family's economic situation, etc.

I could be wrong but there's probably not too many rags to riches stories in golf.

All kidding aside, there's nothing wrong with hockey fighting. The average fight will see about 3 punches from each combatant, with maybe 1 of the 6 being a solid punch. If you want to talk danger in hockey, we can talk head shots and hits from behind, those are deadly. Not fighting.

NBA during the last quarter is TOO exciting, i dunno how anyone sleeps on the finals during those games at those times.
