Wasn't just Nas he let down

but seriously, it's not good. do you think it's good?

I watched the video of the release party where he talks about Nas in relation to that song and talks about how frustrating it was to release his debut album. It became clear to me that basically Jay-Z is the reason for every J. Cole song that sucks.

J Cole and his new album are summed up for me in one word, mediocre.

Better yet, he's a 40 degree day

I'm in complete agreement with Sofi about Jay Z's influence being a huge detriment to Cole and his career.

Coolest thing about rapgenius is when they get the lines verified by the artists. Like a video or tweet or whatever, it's cool

My friend Tyler was having stomach pains and stuff for about a week so he went to the doctor and this past Monday he found out he had stomach cancer. He passed away from it today. Just crazy. It makes me think of all the people who do not go to the doctor for the littlest of things because it cost such a huge amount to do so. Those little problems can be signs of something bigger and lives can be saved but they're not. Stories like his happen. It's so upsetting

I'm not trying to be funny here but, god damn you've got a bad history with 1. losing close ones, and 2. encounters with health issues either directly or with your friends. Your health scare two weeks ago. Your friends and their drug habits, and now this. I feel for you, man. I scoff when people bring up "awareness" for shit like titty and nut cancer, but it's something so simple but important that people forget about it.

I agree. I'm still here though. People that constantly feel down about themselves and complain about life happening to them can s a d.

The titty cancer awareness I scoff at as well but only because of the susan g komen foundation.

So has everyone given Yeezus a full listen yet? I just don't know. Failed experiments don't get published in science journals for peer review so yeezy's failed experiments shouldn't be published either. It' just not doing much for me. It has some good stuff here and there, I think Kanye is still blossoming into a great rapper, but I'm not really feeling it. I will definitely give it more spins but at this point it's 808's 2.0

I liked 808. And I like this.

I called it Yeezy's Dark Side Of The Moon. But Ristol hates Pink Floyd.

I regards to your friend with stomach cancer. That is one of my worst fears, as I have an illness that increases my chances of it. If I see blood, I'm going straight to the doctor. No messing. Your friend must have had symptoms for years, as I didn't think stomach cancer was that aggressive.

I never saw Kanye as a rapper. I saw him more like The Alchemist, producing an album and having a verse here or there on the songs.

I just don't like his music. Some of his productions are nice, but other than that, he's just an overhyped diva.

I really like this album. I liked 808s though, same as Pitts.

Lyrics have suffered a bit but that's as the result of him really just trying to say whatever he wants.

The thing about British TV is that they know when to stop making a show. They don't drag it on to milk more money out of it. The Office, Green Wing, Little Britain, immediately come to mind as more recent shows. BlackAdder. They don't have 7+ seasons like the American Office does. It didn't ruin a fine ending of season three with a shitty season 4 like Arrested Development did. Family Guy is still going. South Park is up there, but it's somewhat relevant since it mocks more recent events. But look how long it took a shit show like The Cleveland Show to get cancelled. Big Bang would have been great had it ended after season 4 or 5. But they have to keep stretching it on.

It sucks such good British shows are only a few episodes a season and only like, 3 seasons, but maybe that's what makes them great. They get all the ideas out there at once, and then let it be.

Anyone take my suggestion of watching the The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret? Great show. Not sure if it qualifies as a British show, since I don't know who made it.
