Good season premier.
The scene with the "Herd" was pretty tense. lol. Didn't particularly expect the last scene to take place, lol, took me by surprise. That being said, I'm loving the inner-group issues taking place - implosion waiting to happen.

Anyone else watch it?

holy

fucking

shit.

This episode alone justifies following this show from the beginning. I wasn't a huge fan although I kept watching. Now I'm glad I have.

I knew about the Sophia... Some asshole who reads the graphic novel spoiled it for me. Nonetheless, it was a great mid-season finale. T-Dogg's contribution to the episode: "Awww shitttttt"

Great season. As the barn shooting played out I turned to my girlfriend and said "It'd be awesome if the girl comes out after as a zombie and they realize why it's hard for the farmer to kill his family even if they are zombies." And then BAM!

That last episode was real good.

Spoiler talk

Sort of seemed that Shane was becoming the leader of the group a little. He was telling Ricks wife that Rick isn't made for this world and people, well that dumb blonde bitch mainly, started looking to him for answers. It was nice how that all ended when no one could shoot Sophia. All those questions and concerns ended when Rick affirmed his position by doing the shooting, I thought that was great. By the previews of next season it looks pretty obvious that the groups turmoil continues to grow which seemed to be how the show was evolving anyway. It's also pretty incredible how they humanized the walkers when Shane started opening that barn. You sort of felt sorry for the walkers and also Herschel and his family, I want to know if Herschel knew Sophia was in the barn. He said Otis was the one that used to put the walkers in the barn but nothing in this episode eluded to him knowing or not. If he did know I dont see how he can tell them to leave. Then again it sort of looks that the group might stay by use of force. I'm way excited about next season or half season or whatever theyre calling it

yep, way too drunk to read what you wrote. but umm, yeah, don't drop pills and talk about the walking dead.
LMFAO

Show is awesome, I actually first really noticed the show when my girlfriend and I had guests the other day and they told us that they had been watching this and that they were hooked from the start. They convinced us to watch an episode, so we did, and we got hooked. We actually watched both seasons last weekend and still wanted more lol, can't wait for season 3!

I still advocate not popping pills and posting (the pop and post, just coined that term, right now, in real time) but you've made some good points. Rick and Shane exemplify two conflicting world views and philosophies. Shane is Paul Ryan or Michelle Bachman, an answer to growing disillusionment and populism shared by the likes of the blonde bitch. Rick (fuck, I just wrote Rick Ross and had to correct myself) believes in retaining that sense of civilization and humanity while Shane's close to bat-shit crazy (like Michelle Bachman). I'm looking forward to seeing how that conflict between the two will play out. Although Rick shot the girl, it'd be premature to say that he sides with Shane. Shooting the girl was more like Obama killing Anwar al-Awlaki, showing the conservatives that he ain't no bitch.

The winter break is over - the Zombies return tonight, and the teaser of the 2nd half of the season looks promising as fuck.
