I still listen to Hip Hop more than other genres. The Roots album is good but I can never fully get into one of their albums. I don't actually discuss Hip Hop much with many people, so I never really post about it here.
I'm not gonna lie, I don't really listen to hip hop anymore. Then again I don't listen to anything else either. I follow whatever plays on the radio. I just don't have the time or the willingness to browse the internet and search for new tracks or new artists.
I used to rely on SH, being the only board I actually visit, for that. But for these past 2-3 years, the Street Corner hasn't been as active as it used to be.
So just wondering to the people who don't listen to Hip Hop now, why?
I ask because I was told by the time I reach 25 I will not be listening to Hip Hop any more, but im two years away from that and I still enjoy it as much as I had 10 years ago. I listen to new rappers such as Blu, J.Cole and Kid Cudi, Drake (if hes classed as hip hop that is) whilst listening to rappers of the past decade, from Eminem, Joe Budden, Royce, Joell Ortiz, Lil Wayne. And also rappers from the 90's era. (Nas, Jay-z, Bone Thugs etc)
I think there is enough quality out there, underground or mainstream. Also with the useage of the Internet I can easily find artist material which keeps me going.
I do listen to a variety of music, but Hip Hop still is the one I listen to the most.

Honestly, when I was 23, I used to be just as passionate as you are right now talking about hip hop and etc. I used to listen to hip hop on a daily basis and find new music, artists and etc. But by the time I turned 25, I stopped caring for it. I really stopped caring as much and have stopped listening to it as much too.
Maybe its because life takes over and I really don't have --time-- to give to hip hop like I did when I was younger, but it's so funny because when I was younger, someone said to me as well that by the time I'm in my mid twenties, hip hop won't mean shit.
And now I see, it really didn't.
If you follow me on Twitter, you might recall me asking about this yesterday. Anyways, Sean Price hit me saying that he’s been in talks with with Ghost, Meth and Rae about a possible Wu-Tang x BCC album. Details are definitely in the development stages, so who knows who would actually be involved. But what are y’all thoughts on this? Some folks were saying it’s 15 years too late; while others are saying it would be the best thing ever. Now it’s time for the dopeboyz/girlz to weigh in.
i'm still listening to hip-hop. i'm spending less time in general listening to music though. i checked out all those except rick ross and dream.
