Yeah dude, people are really blowing this up, his message is personal, it's easy to relate to, great content, he does his thing on the album pretty much. It's kind of bland though, I'd give it more of a 7.5
Also I just wanted to point out how we keep comparing Em to SSLP and MMLP. We will never get another record like that, ever. He's entering the 2nd decade of his rap career with Recovery and if the next albums are half as good as this one I'll be okay with it.
.
decent album soo far its growing on me slowly but some tracks are really nyc but beats were better for me on relapse... and the track with lil wayne is it just me? causei cant stand his voice and that track couldve done without hym but in time i can jugde the album better but pretty good
^i don't listen to Eminem for his great beats. I listen to Eminem because of his lyrics, his flow and his delivery. and he doesn't fail. I'd rather Recovery than Relapse. Relapse had better beats, Recovery has better everything else. sure good beats are always a good thing, but they are not everything.

To me beats and lyrics (flow and delivery included) go hand in hand. I can't listen to a song more than a few (maybe only a couple times) times if the beat is horrible.
I'm thinking the same. I'm quite the contrary, the beats on Relapse were bland. There were a few beats that struck me as good. This new album is full of them imo.
Some of you have a horrible taste (yeah, thats possible).
There are some great beats on Recovery. Fuck Relapse. To even compare them is a joke in itself. Personally, i dont care that much about lyrics. I prefer good beats over good lyrics. Plus, i really enjoy Eminems flow on some of the tracks on the album. It makes the songs even better.
