Yeah I know this is a fucking Disney movie but shit....it looks pretty good and twisted like pretty much everything Burton does.

"Alice in Wonderland Trailer" Hits the Web

Even before the first teaser trailer was leaked online, the Internet has been buzzing about Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland project. The film hits theaters on March 5, 2010, and the studio has carefully revealed information relating to the film — like posters — using social media sites like Facebook and Flickr.

Today the first official trailer for the film has been released. You can see it via YouTube, but for the maximum experience, we recommend watching it in HD on Apple.com.

With Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, the film looks pretty amazing. This was the film Tim Burton was born to make.

Hell yeahs. I've been hyped about this ever since it was announced.

It reminds me of American Mcgee's 'Alice' which was a videogame that came out years ago, twisted version of Alice in Wonderland, just with more violence.

I love most Burton movies, love his creativity.

i love tim burton, and i don't really mind how he puts his own twists on classic stories (this one actually takes place a few years after the original story). the one thing i DON'T like about this movie is the look of the Mad Hatter. the look in the book and the disney cartoon is awesome; the way he should look.

i'll probably still check it out though.

Pretty much gotta be interested in whatever Burton & Depp do together.. I never had a liking for the original Alice in Wonderland so it'll be interesting how I find this one..

Ever since I found out Burton was doing Alice I've been following up on the movie. It has to be pure genius. A must-see.

I don't understand your apparent hate for Disney - and before you post something like "I question their business practices" - I'ma lay it down and tell you that Disney has done more to the world of animation and film than what Prince has done for music. Begone!

Tim Burton is a hit and miss for me but Depp is a sure win.

I'm very interested in this movie. Definitely going to see it. I LOVE Depp, such an amazing actor.

Alice.. well, doesn't look like an Alice to me.. but we'll see.

I like that they didn't go all cutesy with this film.. Alice in Wonderland is so weird.. this looks like it'll capture more of the weirdness instead of trying to make it acceptable for the soccer moms of the world.

Well that is simply incorrect (both factually and grammatically) and although I could provide endless comparisons, statistics, facts and figures to prove that is incorrect, you are baiting me sir, and I do not appreciate it. No, I shall not participate in your little internet poking game.

I don't have a hate for Disney, I'm just aware that I am not their target demographic, and that it's possible there may have been some compromise to this movie in order to gear it more towards their usual demographic. It's been years since I watched a Disney movie (Pirates of the Carribean aside), since my adult tastes find them to be suitably juvenile for the most part.

However, "Captain EO" is a work of cinematic genius.

About demographic -people get old and lose their imagination.

One thing is for sure - Tezuka Osamu who is one of my favorite animators of all time, who is considered to be god of Japanese anime admired Disney's work.

Tim Burton attended the California Institute of Arts and studied his craft in the Disney animation program. CalArts was created by Disney. I can keep going.

There's no need for you to display your counter-culture ignorance when starting a thread like this.

So because a 20 year doesn't enjoy, say, "Bambi" as much as a 10 year old means they lost their imagination? Hardly.

Give me Akira or Ghost In The Shell over most Disney movies any day.

One thing is for sure - Tezuka Osamu who is one of my favorite animators of all time, who is considered to be god of Japanese anime admired Disney's work.

It's not ignorance, just a simple observation and an opinion that is hardly just limited to myself.

I'm not sure what the opinions of Tezuka Osamu or the educational background of Tim Burton have to do with anything.

If you didn't like the way I started the thread, then perhaps you should have started it yourself.

Anyway, as I said, due to the sheer display of genius that is Captain EO, Disney get a pass from me.

I'll spell out my original point.

Disney's inspiration > Something else > Prince's inspiration.
I'm not saying he sucks, it's just that you treat the man like he's your god or something so I use him as an example.

Oshii and Otomo, the creators of your favorite animes are basically offsprings of Tezuka. You could say that Tezuka is an offspring of Disney.

You seemingly have this "oh, I don't want people to think that I like Disney movies because that's sooooo not cool" type attitude. It's okay, you're not that cool to begin with.

With the love for animals you express, I'm surprised that you don't watch Bambi like twice a week and cry every time.

Prince's creativity in music is superior to Disney's creativity in movies when you take into consideration the fact that Prince is more or less a one person operation, playing every instrument, writing, producing and singing every song, mixing every track, directing many of his own videos, designing the album artwork, running his own record label.

Show me a Disney movie that was completely made by Walt Disney on his own and you might have a point.

As for not being that cool - 1) I'm WAY cooler than you. and 2) there are literally thousands of people that disagree with that.....who are you again and how many people care about what you do? *crickets chirp* Yeah, that's what I thought.

And your interpretation of my so called attitude was off base to begin with.
