seriously the whole time i was watching i was trying to think of something to do to keep me entertained. in the end i started to chew on my straw from my pepsi, biting into it and slowly pulling it away so the plastic stretched and finally snapped off, then repeated the process for about 30 minuets.

This movie is fucking hardcore. It shouldn't be allowed for kids.
really? i didn't think so.

so i went to see it in IMAX. the 3d wasn't anything special. the costumes/design/makeup/etc were great.

overall it had the potential to be a very good movie but something is missing. i haven't been able to decide myself on what's missing though. action? more fights?

ps i did think johnny depp as the mad hatter was brilliant.

^i dunno. i kinda expected even more morbidity and darkness from tim burton for alice. maybe that's why i was disappointed.

i have no idea what anyone could like about the movie. its not the worst movie i have ever seen but its up there. depp was rather boring and unimportant, the chick did an ok job.

can somebody who enjoyed it please explain to me why?

The Mad Hatter was really annoying, his character relevance felt forced to make it more important then it needed to be, it would have been great if he was just a cameo.

although The Queen was the best thing about the movie. every scene helena was on she stole it. also the tweedle twins were a good laugh. it was entertaining untill the last 20 mins, and it was just rushed.

really feel this movie did not need to be 3D. it actually took away from the movie, making the picture worse

^yeah i think the focus was too much on 3d and less on the story. it was all about imagery. the story lacked meaning.

helena was amazing. anne hathaway was okay. i didn't really like the actress who played alice. she seemed indifferent throughout the movie. i dunno.. emotionless?

ps i thought depp was brilliant as the mad hatter. its true his importance seemed forced at some point. i don't recall alice being so close to the mad hatter in the original story.
