WeeeeeEEEEEddddD!!

Yeah theres plenty of symptoms Ive seen when I dont smoke. The sleep thing is one, I have a smaller appetite, usuallly a bit more aggitated/easily annoyed, etc.

And Saint - U REALLY need 2 not speak on these subjects again until U do some research. Alcohol has no withdrawl symptoms? Please...

Try having an alcoholic for a father.

Once again, incorrect. Alcohol is an addictive substance. Your body becomes dependent on alcohol much in the same way it would to substances like heroin. The withdrawl symptoms are not the same as with heroin or crack, but they are there. Hence the reason for all the alcohol rehab centers. Marijuana was known for years as a mentally addictive substance, but like I said in my earlier posts, due to the increase in THC levels found in today's marijuana, researchers are discovering it is becoming more of a physical addiction. And if you don't think that there are withdrawl symptoms from weed, then smoke weed every day for a week. Then don't have any the next day and see how you feel.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to single you out or attack you, but it drives me crazy when people try to kick knowledge they don't have. Do some more research on weed and alcohol before you make claims about whether they are addictive or not. And that goes for a lot of other people in this thread as well.

that is true. and for people who say physical addiction is worst than mental. that is not true. both of them are strong.

you know that a person would have to smoke over 400 normal size joints in one sitting in order to overdose on THC? (its credible, i read it in Newsweek magazine or Time) The article later went on to say that no one has ever done this and it is not humanly possible to cram that much thc into your system at one time. And even if a person was to accomplish such an act, they would not die, they would only POSSIBLY have to get their stomachs pumped.

Another reason for a person not being able to do this is they would either pass out before they overdosed or they would just be in too much pain (chest, lungs) they would have to stop.

Lets stop the debating on which addictions are worse (mental/physical) if you are addicted to something it should not matter whether it is physical or mental, YOU ARE ADDICTED. Each addiction varies depending on the person, so you either are addicted to something or you arent.

So you're saying that it's not any harder to kick smoking than it is to kick heroin? Addictions are not all the same. There is a huge difference between physical addiction and mental addiction. Mental addiction makes you think you want something and you crave it, but it doesn't harm you physically to not have it. Physical addiction is when your body becomes dependant on a substance and doesn't function properly without that substance. Hence the reason why heroin addicts use methadone instead, so they don't have severe withdrawl pains.

Ofcourse Heroin addiction and Weed addiction isnt the same. And Methodone treats the symptom.. It's sorta like cigarette addicts use Nicotein Patches to help cure they're symptoms, the symptoms are different but they are there.
Looking at it from the addicts point of view mental addiction and pysical to them is no different. If your mind tricks you into beleiving you NEED something it doesnt matter. I know people who tried to give up weed and couldnt function well enough to sleep and eat and ended up smoking just to get by that. Sure heroin addicts go through alot tougher symptoms but saying weed addicts go through no pysical symptoms is wrong, plenty members here have said they have.
And like _carmi said both physical and mental addiction is tough.

if that was meant to me, i never said that there were no physical symptoms from weed. I said that there were no physical symptoms from a mental addiction. My point was that marijuana is no longer just a mental addiction, it has become physically addictive. I've said that in like 3 posts in this thread already. Both physical and mental addictions can be tough to beat but i would say that physical addictions would be a lot harder to break

*shakes head at the 15 year olds giving their 2 cents on drugs which they turned to because papa didn't buy them that beige coloured porche and didn't give them a 50% rise in their already 200 dollar per week pocket money which they spend on drugs like weed and coke because papa is mistreats them*

Because that's exactly what I said right? I wanted a Porsche and daddy didn't hook me up. No man, I'm sharing what I know/have heard and am being informed on what I know to be true or false.
