but i'll name a few i really feel.
BCC & aaliyah - nightriders (remix) - nice laid back beat
big pun - you aint a killer - laid back also
wu - c.r.e.a.m. - nice sample, laid back.
cypress hill - hits from the bong - nice beat, catchy, laid back.
ice cube - you know how we do it - smooooothh
missy elliott - the rain
aaliyah - rock the boat
krs - outta here
dubb union - cali grown
the lox - recognise
m.o.p. - world famous
rza - you cant stop me now
loads more.
right now, im really feeling laid back hip hop beats. i use these smooth, laid back instrumentals to complement the dvd's of slideshows i make from pictures of family occassions or nights out etc...
although i LOVE hardcore hard hitting beats that are aggressive and hype you up. things like MOP and sticky fingaz are excellent for that but after a while it gives you a headache. so does rapping in general.
