I don't either bc I would be doing what I been doing all week house/pet sitting....not a damnnnn thing but watch tv.
Last night was glorious eh Ristol...
I was sitting there with my bible and my Tebow 3:16 shirt, crying my pious little eyes out.
At 42-10 my brother--a drunken, basking 49ers fan--sent me a text: "Tebow time yet?"
You're all going to football hell. Can't wait for Tim's second coming next year.
Why does tebow think he can run the ball tho?
I think I see this guy as luck/a miracle personified. I can't and won't say much about his talent, whether it's there or not, but take his faith and the crazy comebacks that the Broncos have been having and you've got something you've never seen in football before. Comebacks? Sure, they happen. At this frequency? Sure, in any sport. But with a religious twist? I can't remember the last athlete that was a proud Believer. At least not vocally and in the states.
Will it happen again next year? Sure, it could, but I feel like this "magic" theme of him and his team is really only interesting and valid for one season. Next season, maybe he can go for a rushing record for a TD, or maybe start passing a bit more as a QB. And, of course, have his team keep winning and competing from here on out.
Otherwise, this goes down as just this.."streak" where there was winning and no one could explain it other than with luck.
Pretty much. This became the Chat Thread, it seems, as people post random thoughts from their fucked-up lives in here. Are we all just posting in this thread now?
Well, uh, he can. I'm kidding about being a big Tebow fan--I've enjoyed the comebacks but I'm really just a bereft Jets fan rooting against Tom Brady. But Tebow's single discernible skill on the football field is his ability to run the ball. He's one of the strongest, most physically imposing guys to ever play QB in the NFL. He just can't throw.
