Wow as ii come up on here i realize that half you people dont know wtf your talking about. The reason the eastcoast aint poping becauase every one is sounding alike. If you judging the south based on d4l or the franchise boyz then you honestly dont know what the fuck your talking about..........Its amazing how people can just hate.Hiphop stared out as dance party music from the bronx so how the fuck can you get mad when another region does it or say its fucking up hiphop when another region does it?Get the fuck out of here.

This south movement is so strong You got eastcoast niggaz switching there whole entire style up.It aint even nobody fucking with lil wayne on some str8 lyrcism shit and weezy from the south ive heard shit on Nyc rappers all over the mixtapes

And somebody talked about how everybody from the south wants to be a king shit........Who the fuck you think started that jay z? biggie? nas oh but nobody was tripping when they were sayin shit....

And the reason y the hooks are so simple is because you have to dumb yourself down in order 4 the masses to understand wtf your talking about u have 2 dumb urdelf down its called commercialism everyrapper thats trying crossover do it.Something simple will stick 2 your brain faster and longer.

And lil wayne is shitting all over your favorite rapper right now.
is that all you do on this forum? how many times do i gotta hear that lil wayne is the king and he's so great yada yada yada dude sucks

in 95 u were9 so how would u know?
With sites like Amazon.com, new hip hop fans can get a fair idea of what was good in mid-90's hip hop by just clicking on a link or two. Or they can come to boards like this and have people TELL THEM what to like. With all these "classic" albums being handed to them, they completely leave out the wackness of the mid-90's (and before that), which results in a false notion of early hip hop being soooo much better than what's out today.

The south may hold the crown right now according to a lot of people, but i hope it crumbles in the very near future. Hopefully east or west comes real hard this summer.
How many time do I have 2 say it . The south is bigger than the east & west together. In 95 there wasn't a dirty south so we listen 2 westcoast music. That is why the west was so big back then. Everybody from the listen 2 there music. Now we have are own shit! The south has

The south had a Hip Hop scene almost as long as the East & West, what are you talking about? Folks were putting out records since the mid-late 80's.
