And to be honest, Vlade was one of the better Centers at the time, no one really knew what Kobe was going to end up like and the Hornets needed a center so...

true but the scouts job is to measure the players potential in the nba like for now, check out hansbrough, hes been the best college player for the past two years but nba scouts dont even rank him to 15, they say he'll be taken in the mid 20's (which i doubt will happen because most nba gm's r fools)
