Conan has been doing late-night TV on NBC since 1993. How much more time should Conan be given to "adjust" and at who's expense? 7 months, to do a late-night show 5 days a week is a long time. NBC has been very kind to Conan during those 7 months to deliver ratings and have dished out millions of dollars for his show. While Jay, who only receives a quarter of that funding from NBC, still delivers higher ratings and brings in the dough.

It also wasn't Jay Leno's fault that he [Jay Leno] got booted from The Tonight Show, nor is it Jay's fault that Conan is being forced to 12:05.

NBC is screwing everyone equally, just like Jay said in his monologue.
 
Conan is really hinting his departure from NBC. If you watched his show last night you will know what I'm talking about.

If I was running NBC, I would let Conan keep The Tonight Show at 11:35 PM.

On a different note, it's not fair to Jay that NBC turned him into "the bad guy." I hate to say this, but I think it might be in Jay's best interest to leave NBC and find a new home. He can take his pick. Any network Jay chooses to work for will be on top in late-night TV.
 
TMZ reported that Jay is getting back The Tonight Show at 11:35 PM.

There's a lot of hate towards Jay Leno because people think it's his fault that Conan is being pushed back an hour. The fact is that Jay Leno didn't want to leave The Tonight Show in the first place. He was demoted by NBC because they wanted to keep Conan from switching networks. That is the main reason Conan got The Tonight Show.

As for Jay, that move by NBC was very unfair to him, yet he didn't complain. At the end of the day, Jay is the better candidate for The Tonight Show because he delivers higher ratings. What worries me now is how big Jay's audience is going to be when he returns. We can thank Jeff Zuckerman and NBC for this.

NBC has more trust in Leno than O'Brien. That's it. It's all about ratings.

What sucks if that Conan O'Brien found out about this in the media, not from his own boss. He also got screwed in his contract because it was not stated that he would be guaranteed the 11:35pm spot.

NBC simply didn't manage this situation correctly. They fucked up.
 
I don't like Jay Leno, he just seems boring to me, the way he speaks doesn't keep my interest and I don't find him funny. Conan is all the things Leno is not. He's animated, crazy, funny, interesting - atleast this is my view of him from the couple of things I've seen.

Only get Conan through pay tv here and Leno is on one of the extra free channels.. BOOO! NBC is making the wrong move I thinks, but thats just me.
 
Isn't this really a failure of NBC in many different areas? They moved Leno to prime time; ratings sucked. Conan is funny and I can't see why he wouldn't pull the same if not better ratings than Leno so I would consider that a failure on NBC's half at promoting it - personal uneducated opinion.

NBC seem to quick to change things in desperation which equals fail in my book.

Conan does a good job, but Leno has "it" and Conan doesn't. That's what separates the two. Leno has been No. 1 in late-night TV ratings for 17 years, Conan hasn't.

According to the article I posted, Conan's low ratings of The Tonight Show is partly due to his arrogance. The article reads that Conan was too stubborn to take advice from NBC veteran Eberso. Though it is unfair that Conan is being forced to move a half-an-hour later, the contract he signed with NBC didn't say anything about him having a permanent time slot. Tough luck, Conan.

If Conan doesn't stay on at 12:05, it looks like he will be breaking his contract with NBC and you know what that means.

So let me EXPLAIN it to you the way I see it.

According to record sales, Vanilla Ice's album "To The Extreme" is a better album than 2Pac's "Me Against The World".

Do I agree with that? No.

According to ratings, Jay Leno is better than Conan O' Brien.

Do I agree with that? No.

Leno ain't funny any more. Hasn't been for the last decade. Even Letterman has been funnier than Leno for the last few years.
