I agree wih you.However I think that the times pac contradicted himself made him real. Because we all do it. He took what was in his heart a that moment and rapped about it. I'm against needless fighting but you have to admit that some times people push you and your like fuck it. Pac let us see all emotions. I against degrading women but at times i'm like thats a fine peace of ass.

222179, I understand that people are ever-changing & as such, will contradict themselves in their lifetime but the man contradicted himself within minutes in small spaces of time.

And there are certain principles that will be (or should be) unlikely to change. Tupac spoke with passion about raising the community......yet then he'd go talk shit.

As far as Tupac talking about killing niggaz, besides refering to killing Biggie, i need someone to cite a song in which this is true, in which Pac talks about killing niggaz. Otherwise this accusation is unfounded.

The contradiction is what made Tupac human, though. He was angry in his head but compassionate in his heart. I don't think he would ever really kill anyone but talking about is like rage that he's getting out. He's not saying for the audience to go kill people or that it's right, he's just trying to vent his rage in art not violence. I think overall he was good like he said but he was very two-sided and unfortunatley the angry side led to his demise.
So for anyone to say they don't agree with what he said it's totally different than not agreeing with his ethics or personal feelings because he would probably say that he wrote them when he was feeling angry and it's not his actual reflection, and he doesn't agree with himself at that time. (We all do this)


But as for me I am pro life so anything where Tupac advocated abortion (I think he did) is something I disagree with although I can't think of anything off the top of my head.
Also i disagree with him dissing Nas but like I said he would probably disagree with himself on that one too...I read somewhere that he was a fan of Nas'.

I might be giving him too much credit here but here goes.. Looking at the hip hop industry and what has made it successful, Maybe pac put out his battle records and his somewhat trashy "I get around" songs to gain and later maintain popularity. He's got deep songs and those are good too but a cd with 20 deep songs might get tough to listen to, at least to mainstream listeneres, who are perfectly happy with club bangers. I doubt pac would really do a lot of the stuff he says he'd do but it all works out perfect in the end. When I'm in a thinkin mood or not feelin so well I've got 100 pac songs that will do the trick. If i'm in a kinda pumped up mood Ill pop in some when we ride on our enemies and hit em up, fully understanding that pac probably doesn't really kill people when he says, "open your eyes as I pull the trigger, so right before you die you bow before a bigger nigga" I think many of pacs songs imitate his life and his thoughts, yet some are just not to be taken literally. It's our job to distinguish

I believe it was in a pac interview or maybe nwa where they said that the goverment was doing anything about life in the ghetto. So to get their attention they were going to bring the ghetto to them and how do you get their attention. By hardcore gangsta rap. If it was all deep no one would pay attention to it but if you say fuc the police now their listening. There was also that interview where he talks about be hunger and knocking on the door and they ignore him so by the third time you break it done.

I see where Calcuo is coming from, I've had this fight with myself over it before. I came to the conclusion that to bring attention to the struggles of the ghetto you need to give people a vision of what its like, since most of us will never see it for ourselves he attempted to paint that picture through his music. Pac once said hip hop should go through every emotion we have, and that includes murder. Whenever I hear a record talking about killing and violence I never get the feeling his saying its good to do this and that, it's more like a story. And I'm sure from Pac's perspective of all the things that happened to him he had a great amount of anger in him where he genuinly felt these emotions. It doesnt make him wrong for saying them, if he actually went out and did them that would be much worse.
